How it Works

PrizePicks Reboots — our injury policy — covers NFL, NBA, WNBA, MLB, and college football players. Generally, if a player gets injured in the first half and does not return, that player will be marked as a DNP. With a DNP, your Lineup can still cash, just at a lower payout.

The policy will activate if all of the following conditions occur at any time during an NBA game.

You pick more on any eligible player’s full-game projection

That player leaves the game in the 1st Half

That player does NOT return in the 2nd Half

All such picks will be considered a Reboot, which means your lineup reverts down the same way it would with a tie or DNP.

Select NBA stat types are NOT eligible to receive a Reboot, specifically those that measure [x] statistical achievements (e.g. rebounds, points, 3-PT made, etc.) in [x] number of attempts or partial-game periods of play (e.g. quarters or halves).

The policy will activate if all of the following conditions occur at any time during an NFL regular season or postseason game
(not currently offered for preseason games).

You pick more on any eligible player’s full-game projection

That player leaves the game in the 1st Half

That player does NOT return in the 2nd Half

NFL kickers and punters are only Reboot eligible if they are listed as active but do not record a single kick/punt (respectively).

Select NFL stat types are NOT eligible to receive a Reboot, specifically those that measure [x] statistical achievements (e.g. completions, rush yards, receptions of 10+ yards, etc.) in [x] number of attempts or partial-game periods of play (e.g. quarters or halves).

All such picks will be considered a Reboot, which means your lineup reverts down the same way it would with a DNP. See the in-app NFL Scoring Chart for more details.

The policy will activate if all of the following conditions occur at any time during the CFB Playoff games (will not be offered for any bowl games).

You pick more on any eligible player’s full-game projection

That player leaves the game in the 1st Half

That player does NOT return in the 2nd Half

All such picks will be considered a Reboot, which means your lineup reverts down the same way it would with a DNP.

The policy will activate if all of the following conditions occur at any time during an MLB game.

You pick More on any any batter's full-game projection

That batter leaves the game having registered 2 plate appearances or less

That player does NOT return

All such picks will be considered a Reboot, which means your lineup reverts down the same way it would with a tie or DNP.

The policy will activate if all of the following conditions occur at any time during a WNBA game.

You pick more on any eligible player’s full-game projection

That player leaves the game in the 1st Half

That player does NOT return in the 2nd Half

All such picks will be considered a Reboot, which means your lineup reverts down the same way it would with a tie or DNP.

Select WNBA stat types are NOT eligible to receive a Reboot, specifically those that measure [x] statistical achievements (e.g. rebounds, points, 3-PT made, etc.) in [x] number of attempts or partial-game periods of play (e.g. quarters or halves).

What Happens Next?

If your Player Pick is covered by the Reboots policy, it will be marked as a DNP in your Lineup.

With a DNP, your Lineup gets dropped one tier, reducing your maximum payout. For example, 6-Pick Lineups become 5-Picks, a 5-Pick becomes a 4-Pick, and so on.

This applies to both Power and Flex Play Lineups. Find standard payout rates here.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which picks qualify for the Reboot policy?

Only full-game projections where the "More" option is selected will qualify for a Reboot. Combo squares will be Rebooted if one or more player in the Combo is eligible. Picks from the NFLP, NFL 1H, 2H, 1Q, 4Q, NFLSZN, or any other partial or multi-game projection boards will not qualify. NFL defensive players are currently not eligible to be Rebooted. Special Teams players are currently not eligible to be Rebooted, with the exception of kickers and punters who are listed as active but do not record a single kick/punt (respectively).

What happens if multiple picks in my lineup qualify for a Reboot?

Your Lineup will revert down by one pick for every Rebooted projection.

What if I pick LESS on a projection that is rebooted?

If you pick LESS on the player’s Projection, that pick still wins!

What if my player gets hurt, misses a lot of the game, but returns in the 2H?

Only offensive players that exit the game in the 1st Half and don’t return in the 2nd half will qualify for a Reboot.

What if a player hits their projection before they leave the game?

It is treated like normal - MORE picks win and LESS picks lose.

Do I need to opt in or do anything to receive a Reboot?

Nope! All Members are automatically eligible for the Reboot policy.
