Rejected Deposits
If your deposit was not accepted, you will receive a notification providing an explanation for the failed deposit attempt. Some of the most common reasons for a rejected deposit are:
Your payment method is not compatible with our system:
Double check that you are using one of the methods described above. Smaller financial institutions like Credit Unions can sometimes have inconsistent performance on the PrizePicks platform and are not recommended.
The payment method is already associated with another PrizePicks account:
PrizePicks will not accept any deposits in which the card is connected to another account. Deposits associated with another account will be rejected. The funds will be returned to your bank account once they go unclaimed. The timeframe to reclaim funds varies for each bank.
The name on your deposit method does not match the name on your account:
The name on any card or bank account must match the name on your account. If it does not, we can not process the deposit and may open up an investigation into your account for security reasons.
You are trying to deposit too much or too little:
In order to encourage and enforce responsible app usage habits, PrizePicks may set deposit limits for Members. These limits are automated and cannot be adjusted (with the exception of Responsible Gaming limits which Members can set and lower through their personal account settings). If you attempt to deposit an amount that exceeds your limit, you will receive an error message.
The minimum deposit amount is $10 (USD); all attempts to deposit a smaller amount will automatically fail.
You made a mistake when inputting your card or account information:
Please enter your information again and double-check everything before you submit it.
You are located in an ineligible state:
You can find the list of eligible states here. If your state of residence is ineligible, you will not be able to make a deposit.
You have met your limit for how many times you can deposit in a specific timeframe:
PrizePicks has various deposit limits that go into effect on an hourly, daily, and monthly basis. To determine which limit you are hitting and when you'll be able to deposit again, please contact our Live Support team.
Deposit FAQs
Why did the money leave my bank account even though my deposit did not go through?
In some cases, your deposit may be rejected after the money has already left your bank account. Once these funds go unclaimed, your bank will allocate the funds back to your bank account. This usually takes 1-3 days to process, although the timeframe will vary depending on your bank.
Why can’t I use my normal deposit method?
Although PrizePicks offers multiple types of picks, there are regulations that prevent us from making certain payment methods available depending on whether you submitted a Team/Culture Pick or a Player Pick Lineup. That means that certain payment methods (such as PayPal, Venmo, and credit cards) will show up on your deposits page for Player Picks, but not for Team and Culture Picks.
Why can't I find my bank?
If you are trying to deposit using Instant Bank Transfer, but your bank does not show up, that means your bank is not accepted by our payment system. You will need to use a different method to deposit funds.
How many payment methods can I have associated with my PrizePicks account?
You may connect up to two (2) cards and one (1) of each of the following payment methods to your PrizePicks account: PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay, and/or an approved Bank account.
How do I remove or replace payment methods associated with my PrizePicks account?
You can remove a payment method after 60 days have passed since your first deposit using that payment method.
Just log into your account and tap the deposit button in the top right corner. Once you are on the deposit screen, you should see a trash can icon. Click the icon to remove a payment method. If the trash can icon isn't there, that means you still need to wait for your 60 day waiting period to end.
You may only request to remove a payment method once (1) in any calendar month, and no more than five (5) times across any twelve-month span. For security reasons, PayPal, Venmo, and Apple Pay accounts may not be removed.
I made a deposit by accident. Can I get a refund?
All deposits are nonrefundable, and are considered final once submitted. Please be extra careful to confirm the deposit amount before you finalize your deposit so you don't accidentally transfer more funds than you had planned.

Using the PrizePicks app is supposed to be fun! But sometimes, a hobby can turn into an unhealthy habit, and making sports and culture picks is no exception.
Whether your picks are correct or not, you might find yourself being drawn to try again without consideration of potential risks. The information on this page can help you stay aware of your habits and develop a plan to maintain control.
We want all PrizePicks Members to have a safe and enjoyable experience on our platform. That's why our app has built-in limits to safeguard you from depositing or submitting picks too much, or too often. We also require all Members to verify their age before creating an account. Anyone under the age of 18 will not be permitted to use PrizePicks, no matter what. If an eligible jurisdiction requires a higher age threshold, PrizePicks will honor the rules of that region. This means it may be possible for you to make picks in certain regions while being restricted in others.
We also provide customizable tools that allow you to take control of your experience, by making it easy to take a break if and when you need to.
We want to be clear: setting boundaries for yourself is not an indication that you have a problem. It's an effective way to make sure you don't develop habits that negatively affect your experience. We encourage you to explore the Responsible Gaming Tools and resources available in our app, and to make use of them as needed.
PrizePicks features several responsible gaming tools and resources to ensure a safe and secure DFS experience. This includes:
- Alerts: Receive notifications if you go over your preselected daily, weekly, or monthly thresholds for lineup submissions.
- Limits: Set self-imposed daily, weekly, or monthly deposit or play limits for at least 90 days.
- Timeouts: Temporarily disable your ability to submit lineups or deposit funds for a period between 1 and 30 days.
- Self-Exclusion: Temporarily disable all access to your account and block all marketing notifications for 30 days or more.
Timeout and Self-Exclusion Policy
- Timeouts: You can take a break from PrizePicks for a minimum of 1 day and a maximum of 30 days. During this time, you won't be able to submit lineups or deposit funds, but you can still log in and withdraw funds.
- Self-Exclusion: You can exclude yourself from PrizePicks for a set amount of time. The duration options are 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, 5 years, or Lifetime. During this time, you won't be able to play or log in to your account. Self-exclusion and timeouts are important responsible gaming tools to protect your player health. If you're concerned about your gaming habits, these might be the right tools for you. We also encourage you to check out our Kindbridge Behavioral Health benefits available for free to all PrizePicks Members. Learn more here.
