NBA DFS Cheat Sheet Today: Picks & Predictions for NBA Tuesday 1/21
The NBA DFS Cheat Sheet is back for NBA Tuesday to break down the top NBA DFS picks for January 21, and highlight the top games to target tonight for your PrizePicks Lineups.
It’s a small slate for Tuesday night, with only five games taking place with two of them being nationally televised on TNT. The New York Knicks head to Brooklyn to take on their cross-town rivals, the Nets. The Knicks will likely be at full strength after missing Karl-Anthony Towns from game-to-game due to a bone chip and sprain in his shooting thumb.
The second of the nationally televised games will be between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Denver Nuggets. 76ers C Joel Embiid is out for this game so a much-awaited Jokic vs. Embiid showdown will have to wait yet again. Paul George is expected to play and Tyrese Maxey is good to go so the game should still be a competitive one.

Tuesday NBA Games to Target for NBA DFS
Here are the top two games to target on the Tuesday NBA DFS slate for production and fantasy upside on PrizePicks.
76ers vs. Nuggets: Preview, Picks
Time: 10 p.m. ET
How to Watch: TNT/truTV/Max
This game will be a contrast of two styles. One team likes to run up and down the floor and is one of the best offenses in the league. The other slows the game down and is one of the bottom five teams in points per game. Denver is third in points per game and fifth in pace. If the Sixers are going to keep this close, they’re going to have to play at Denver’s pace.
While the Sixers are considered one of the better teams at stopping centers from scoring, that likely won’t stop the best center in the league right now, Nikola Jokic.
PrizePicks NBA Pick: Kelly Oubre Jr. 15.5 Points — More
Wizards vs. Lakers: Preview, Picks
Time: 10:30 p.m. ET
How to Watch: NBA League Pass
The first of two meetings between these teams, and there should be tons of points scored. The Wizards are the league’s worst defense, and the Lakers are not amazing themselves, giving up nearly 114 points per game which sits in the top half of the league.
Washington is fourth in the league in pace so even with their inefficient shooting, they make sure they are getting tons of possessions still. Throughout this season, Washington has only been someone adept at guarding small forwards as every other position has been able to feast against them.
PrizePicks NBA Pick: Jordan Poole 20.5 Points — More

Below, you’ll find the top NBA DFS picks today for PrizePicks for Tuesday, January 21.
Knicks G-F Mikal Bridges vs. Nets: 1.5 3-Pts Made — More (Goblin)
The Knicks and Nets have met twice this season already with Bridges clearing this projection both meetings at Madison Square Garden. Now this will be Bridges’ first game back in Brooklyn since getting traded cross-town in the summer.
Not only do you factor in that it is his first game back in Brooklyn since the trade, but the Nets also allow a high-clip of three-pointers made to shooting guards. The Nets are top-10 in three-pointers allowed to opposing shooting guards. They are also allowing the highest three-point percentage to their opposition this season overall.
The Knicks make the three-ball as well as anyone also with the fifth-highest percentage of three-pointers made this season. All these factors line up for another strong night from the perimeter for Bridges against his former team.
Heat F Jimmy Butler vs. Blazers: 9.5 Rebs+Asts — More
This will only be Jimmy Butler’s third game back after being suspended for conduct detrimental to the team after wanting a trade out of Miami. But he’ll go up against Portland who allow lots of rebounds and assists to small forwards. Portland is allowing the fourth most rebounds and third most assists to small forwards.
The first meeting between these teams did not feature Butler but both Jaime Jaquez Jr and Haywood Highsmith produced 7 Rebs+Asts against them. Jaquez will likely be replaced by Duncan Robinson in the projected lineup, and he does not provide too much of a threat to attack the glass as Butler would.
Nuggets C Nikola Jokic vs. 76ers: 22.5 Rebs+Asts — More
While the Sixers have been great this season at defending the center position, trying to stop Nikola Jokic is a whole different task. Andre Drummond will be the man tasked with trying to stop Jokic, and the Serb has a great history with Drummond as the primary defender.
He finished with 15 Rebs+Asts the last time he saw Drummond lineup against him and did that only in 16 minutes. He has historically passed well when Drummond is guarding him, averaging nearly nine assists in their most recent meetings, and just rebounds well against the Sixers overall.
If Drummond does miss this game, as he is a game-time decision, Jokic will have an amazing matchup against Guerschon Yabusele. If neither of them can go, it will be Adem Bona and Pete Nance splitting time at the center position.
If Philly is going to keep Denver within arm’s reach, they’re going to need to push the pace. A quicker pace means more possessions, which means more opportunities to cash this projection.
Lakers G Austin Reaves vs. Wizards: 26.5 Pts+Asts— More
Austin Reaves likely gets one of his best matchups — if not his best matchup — of the season against the Washington Wizards. The Wizards are allowing the most points and fifth-most assists to starting point guards this season. This should be a matchup he dominates with Jordan Poole as his primary defender.
Even in a smaller sample size such as the last 15 games, the Wizards are still towards the top in points and assists allowed to opposing point guards. The Wizards’ pace and horrible field goal percentage will give Reaves lots of opportunities to either score or assist in transition.
