Miller, Fowler: Sonny Styles Could Be ‘Dream’ Pick for Commanders

Update: 9:51 a.m. ET, Thursday, April 23 | by Jordan Foote

It’s no secret that the Washington Commanders have multiple areas on the roster they could benefit from addressing. If D.C. sticks at pick No. 7, will it add a weapon for QB Jayden Daniels or opt for a defensive stopper?

As Thursday night approaches, Matt Miller of ESPN mocked Ohio State LB Sonny Styles at seventh overall. Miller writes that he’s “consistently heard that Styles will be the pick if he’s on the board.”

Not only that, but insider Jeremy Fowler adds that other teams think Styles “would be a dream Dan Quinn pick” given the head coach's defense-first background. Elsewhere, Ohio State WR Carnell Tate is reportedly a name to watch for Washington.

Styles and Tate are the current favorites to be the pick at No. 7, returning respective payouts of 3.57x and 3.84x on PrizePicks Team Picks.

Schefter: Jeremiyah Love “the logical pick” for Cardinals at No. 3

Update: 4:45 p.m. ET, Wednesday, April 22 | by Christian Hardy

On Thursday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter confirmed that the Arizona Cardinals have been seeking to trade the No. 3 overall pick, with no luck yet.

Even after the Jets’ pick at No. 2 between Arvell Reese and David Bailey, with only eight minutes on the first-round clock this year, it could be hard to swing a trade in the moment.

So, if the Cardinals end up staying at No. 3, Schefter believes the “logical” pick is Notre Dame RB Jeremiyah Love

Even with this report, Love has only moved to be only a small favorite to be the No. 3 overall pick on PrizePicks Team Picks — with a 2.94x payout on Yes, as the uncertainty of a team trading up for Reese or Bailey looms.

Here are the current favorites to be the No. 3 overall pick in the first round, via PrizePicks, regardless of who owns the pick:

  • Jeremiyah Love: Yes 2.94x | No 1.36x
  • David Bailey: Yes 3.03x | No 1.35x
  • Arvel Reese: Yes 3.44x | No 1.28x

Breer: Jermod McCoy Slide Could Be Incoming

Update: 2:22 p.m. ET, Wednesday, April 22 | by Jordan Foote

This year’s CB class has plenty of top-flight names, but one of them is difficult to get a read on. Tennessee’s Jermod McCoy missed all of last season due to a torn ACL, then lagged behind others in the pre-draft process.

With round one closing in, Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer reports that there’s a “wide range of outcomes” for where — and when — McCoy goes. He adds that teams are “preparing for, and gaming out” the chances of him even sliding to the second round.

Over on Team Picks, McCoy returns a 14.28x payout to be drafted in the top 10 and a 1.58x payout to go in the first round in general.

Graziano: Browns to Entertain Trading Down From Pick 6?

Update: 9:32 a.m. ET, Wednesday, April 22 | by Jordan Foote

In his latest deep dive into recent 2026 NFL Draft buzz, ESPN insider Dan Graziano dropped some interesting information regarding the Cleveland Browns that could shake up the first round in a major way.

According to Graziano, it appears “everyone knows the analytics-driven Browns would love to trade down" from pick six. Additionally, teams like the Kansas City Chiefs (No. 9), New York Giants (No. 10), Miami Dolphins (No. 11), and Los Angeles Rams (No. 13) were dubbed candidates to potentially move up.

All eyes seem to be on the Washington Commanders, who have multiple needs to address and pick seventh in Thursday’s first round, as the franchise to leapfrog.

Ohio State WR Carnell Tate (3.84x Yes | 1.23x No) and Utah OT Spencer Fano (4.34x Yes | 1.17x No) are projected at the top of the Team Picks list to be the Browns’ pick if they stick at sixth overall.

Jeremiyah Love to the New York Giants at Pick 5?

Update: 1:30 a.m. ET, Wednesday, April 22 | by Christian Hardy

ESPN Giants’ beat writer Jordan Raanan “can’t see” head coach John Harbaugh passing up Notre Dame RB Jeremiyah Love with pick No. 5 if he’s available.

In ESPN’s reporter mock draft, Raanan took Love to the Giants with the No. 5 pick  — the Giants’ first of two top 10 picks.

Love has a 4.54x payout to be the No. 5 overall pick (1.14x No) on PrizePicks Team Picks, but he’s behind WR Jordyn Tyson and LB Sonny Styles, who are the current favorites to be the Giants’ pick, each with 3.44x payouts to go No. 5 overall.

Jets No. 2 Pick Down to David Bailey and Arvell Reese

Update: 12:48 a.m. ET, Wednesday, April 22 | by Christian Hardy

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the New York Jets have narrowed the No. 2 overall pick down to two edge rushers: Texas Tech’s David Bailey and Ohio State’s Arvell Reese.

This isn’t a huge surprise, but it does add some clarity around the first question mark in the 2026 NFL Draft. Our team ranked Reese over Bailey in our EDGE rankings; but the two are neck and neck to be the No. 2 overall pick.

On PrizePicks Team Picks, Reese is the slight favorite to be the No. 2 overall pick; the Ohio State prospect has a 1.85x payout on Yes (1.88x payout on No), while Bailey has a 1.88x payout on Yes (1.85x on No).

Seahawks Looking to Move Down From No. 32 Overall Pick

Update: 3:22 p.m. ET, Tuesday, April 21 | by Christian Hardy

Seahawks GM John Schneider made it clear what the team hopes to do with the No. 32 pick on Thursday — the final pick of the first round.

“It’s no secret with us,” Schneider said. “We have four picks, so we’ll be looking to move back.”

With only four picks in the draft, the Seahawks will look to add more depth in the middle rounds,  giving other teams a chance to grab another player with a fifth-year contract option. This could be another place for the Cardinals or another team to trade up to grab a QB like Ty Simpson.

Our team’s latest NFL Mock Draft has the Seahawks taking Notre Dame RB Jadarian Price at pick No. 32, while our two-round mock has Tennessee CB Colton Hood going to the defending champs in this spot.

QB Ty Simpson Could Fall Out of the First Round

Update: 12:25 p.m. ET, Tuesday, April 21 | by Christian Hardy

Alabama QB Ty Simpson is the consensus No. 2 QB in this class behind Fernando Mendoza — but going in the first round isn’t a guarantee.

According to ESPN, the most likely landing spots for Simpson are the New York Jets at No. 16, Pittsburgh Steelers at No. 21, and the Cleveland Browns at No. 24. However, Mel Kiper’s mock draft has the Cardinals — who own the 34th pick — trading into the back-end of the first round (at pick 30) and drafting Simpson.

Find our full Ty Simpson NFL Draft profile and NFL comparisons here.

The Cardinals may have the biggest need for a QB in this draft, as Jacoby Brissett and Gardner Minshew II are currently expected to battle for the starting job.

Simpson has a 43% chance to be available to start the second round, according to ESPN’s Draft Day Predictor.

The Alabama QB currently has a 1.58x payout on Yes to be drafted in the first round, with a 2.12x payout for No on PrizePicks Team Picks, with the Cardinals the favorites to draft Simpson (Yes 1.92x, No 5.26x), with the Jets (Yes 5x, No 1.09x) in second.

Schefter: Cardinals Looking to Trade No. 3 Overall Pick, Jeremiyah Love in the Mix?

Update: 10 a.m. ET, Tuesday, April 21 | by Christian Hardy

According to the Adam Schefter Podcast, the Arizona Cardinals are looking to trade out of the No. 3 overall pick in Thursday’s first round, with talks expected to heat up over the coming days ahead.

Our latest NFL Mock Draft has the Cardinals taking Miami OT Francis Mauigoa with the third overall pick. However, Schefter says Notre Dame RB Jeremiyah Love could be the Cardinals pick here.

As of writing, Texas Tech EDGE David Bailey is the favorite to be the Cardinals pick at No. 3 on PrizePicks Team Picks, with a 2.17 payout on Yes, 1.63x on No. However, Love has moved into the third-highest implied probability to be the No. 3 pick, at 4.34x on Yes, and 1.17x on No.

{{nfl_offer_banner="/style-system/ui-components-playbook"}}

Schefter added that it’s “hard for [him] to see” Love falling past No. 4 overall, where the Tennessee Titans will pick. Love has a 1.31x payout to be drafted in the top five picks (3.03x payout on No), on PrizePicks.

Schefter: “Hard to Imagine” WR Jordyn Tyson Isn’t A Top 10 Pick

Update: 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 21 | by Christian Hardy

When talking about the Kansas City Chiefs picking at No. 9 overall, Schefter said: “They might need another wide receiver, I’ve heard that they like Jordyn Tyson too … it’s hard to imagine he’s getting out of the top 10.”

Tyson has three main potential landing spots inside those top 10 picks: New York Giants, New Orleans Saints, Kansas City Chiefs.

Tyson, the Arizona State WR, has a 1.25x payout on Yes to be drafted in the top 10 (3.7x on No) on PrizePicks. The Giants — who hold picks No. 5 and 10 overall —  are the favorites to draft Tyson, with a 2.63x payout (1.36x payout on No), with the Saints (No. 8 overall) behind them.

Schefter believes Tyson “could go as high as (No. 5 overall).” Tyson has a 4x payout to be drafted in the top five picks on PrizePicks, with a 1.17x payout on no.
