Wednesday NBA Games to Target for NBA DFS
Here are two games to target for NBA DFS fantasy production on PrizePicks today, Wednesday, January 29.
Nuggets vs. Knicks
Time: 7:30 p.m. ET
How to Watch: ESPN
The Nuggets have played at the fifth-fastest pace (101.34) in the league and they have the fourth-best offensive rating (118.0). While the Knicks don’t play at such a fast pace, they have the second-best offensive rating (119.6). Both the Nuggets and the Knicks also rank inside the top-seven in the league in net rating.
Both teams come into this matchup relatively healthy. Knicks SG Josh Hart (knee) is listed as questionable, but that has been the norm for him lately and he hasn’t missed a game in over a month.
These teams don’t have great benches, which forces their starters to log heavy minutes. Hart, SF Mikal Bridges, and SF OG Anunoby all rank inside the top-six in the league in minutes played per game. Nuggets C Nikola Jokic and PG Jamal Murray both ranked inside the top-14 in minutes played per game.
PrizePicks Projection to Consider: Nuggets G Jamal Murray 25.5 Pts+Asts — More
Raptors vs. Wizards
Time: 7 p.m. ET
How to Watch: NBA League Pass
This matchup isn’t nearly as exciting, but that doesn’t mean there can’t be plenty of juicy stat lines that come from it. Both the Raptors and the Wizards rank inside the top-nine in the league in pace of play. The Wizards have the worst defensive rating (118.6) in the league, while the Raptors have the sixth-worst defensive rating (115.9).
Raptors G Immanuel Quickley (hip) has missed seven straight games and there is still no timetable for his return. Wizards F/C Alex Sarr (ankle) is listed as questionable after being forced out of Monday’s game against the Mavericks. Should be unable to play, then Wizards C Jonas Valanciunas would likely be in line for added minutes.
PrizePicks Projection to Consider: Wizards G Jordan Poole 23.5 Points — More

NBA DFS Picks Today for PrizePicks
Here are four NBA DFS picks to help you build your PrizePicks NBA Lineups for today, Wednesday, January 29.
Raptors SF Scottie Barnes vs. Wizards: 21.5 Points – More
Raptors SF Scottie Barnes is averaging a career-high 20.2 points per game this season. His usage rate sits at 26.5% and that number should remain high with Quickley out.
While he just missed this threshold with 21 points against the Pelicans on Monday, he went just 6-for-21 from the field. Prior to that, he had scored at least 24 points in back-to-back games. A hefty usage rate against one of the worst defensive teams in the league leaves Barnes with plenty of scoring upside.
Raptors C Jakob Poeltl vs. Wizards: 10.5 Rebounds – More
Raptors C Jakob Poeltl had previously never averaged more than 9.3 rebounds per game for a season in his career. This season, he is averaging 10.4 rebounds. The key is that he has logged 31 minutes per game, which would be the first time in his career that he has averaged more than 29 minutes per game.
The Wizards have allowed the most rebounds per game in the league, so Poeltl could sail past this projection.
Pistons C Jalen Duren vs. Pacers: 23.5 Pts+Rebs — More
Pistons C Jalen Duren has thrived against the Pacers. Pacers C Myles Turner is not a good rebounder, while Duren thrives in that department. Duren has faced the Pacers three times already this season and he finished with at least 26 combined points and rebounds in each of those games.
Earlier this month, he had 17 points and 17 rebounds in a game against them. This is a matchup to exploit once again.
Clippers G Norman Powell vs. Spurs: 21.5 Points — More
After posting just a 20.0% usage rate last season, Clippers G Norman Powell has a 27.4% usage rate this season. He has also logged 33 minutes per game, which is up from 26 minutes per game last season. The result has been him averaging 23.9 points and 3.4 three-pointers per game. Across his last 10 games, he has scored at least 23 points seven times. In two of the three games that he didn’t, he just missed with 22 points each.
Even with Kawhi Leonard back, Powell continues to get a ton of usage, scoring 22 points in each of his last six games, and averaging 23.2 points per game over the month of January.
