NBA PrizePicks Picks Today for NBA DFS
Here are four NBA DFS picks to help you build your PrizePicks NBA Lineups for today, Friday, January 24.
Cavaliers G Darius Garland vs. 76ers: 21.5 Points – More
Cavaliers G Darius Garland has scored at least 26 points in two of the last three games since Mobley went down. The one time he didn’t, he only played 25 minutes in a blowout win over the Suns. Still, he had 16 points in that game.
The 76ers have the ninth-worst defensive rating (114.7) in the league, so as long as this game stays fairly close, Garland should have a favorable opportunity to surpass this projection.
Pelicans G CJ McCollum vs. Grizzlies: 23.5 Points – More
Williamson being out is significant for the Pelicans. He has averaged 21.9 points over just 29 minutes per game this season. Pelicans G CJ McCollum has scored at least 23 points in four of the last five games that Williamson has missed.
Williamson also didn’t play in either of the first two meetings between the Pelicans and Grizzlies this season. McCollum scored at least 30 points in both of those games. With added usage likely coming his way again, McCollum carries plenty of scoring upside.
Blazers F Deni Avdija vs. Hornets: 11 Rebs+Asts – More
It would not be surprising if the Blazers rested at least one of their veterans for this game, considering they just played Thursday. At a minimum, they will likely sit C Robert Williams III, who has not played both halves of a back-to-back set all season. That would likely benefit Trail Blazers F Deni Avdija, who only played 26 minutes in their lopsided win over the Magic on Thursday.
Entering this matchup, Avdija has already combined for at least 12 rebounds and assists in four of his last five games.
Grizzlies F Jaylen Wells vs. Pelicans: 12 Points – More
Despite being a second-round pick in the 2024 Draft, Grizzlies F Jaylen Wells has worked his way into a starting role on one of the best teams in the Western Conference. Over 39 games as a starter, he has scored at least 12 points 22 times. That has included him scoring at least 13 points in five of his last six games. With the Pelicans struggling so much on the defensive end, this is an appealing projection to target.
