Ryder Cup 2023 Top DFS Projections
Holes Won
Scottie Scheffler + Sam Burns - USA
As the number 1 ranked golfer in the world, Scottie Scheffler will be leading this USA team to hopefully a second Ryder cup victory in a row and 3 in the last 4 tournaments.
Standing in his way on day 1 is Jon Rahm, the current #3 ranked golfer in the world and 2023 Masters champion. Playing in Europe obviously puts Team USA at a disadvantage, but that shouldn’t faze Scheffler who’s played well in previous Ryder Cup matches.
The X factor in this matchup will be the level of play between Sam Burns (WGR #20) and Tyrrell Hatton (WGR #11). As the fourth ranked putter in the world, Burns will hopefully be a perfect complement to Scottie who isn’t as strong on the green as of late.
It will be an exciting tee off to this edition of the Ryder Cup without a doubt. Hopefully we can see our American boys kick things off right in Rome.

Collin Morikawa + Rickie Fowler - USA
This pairing is surely a USA fan favorite. Rickie and Collin have both impressed kgolf fans around the world for some time now. Rickie, who was out of the top rankings for some years, now finds himself playing like the Rickie of old.
Collin has been a top talent of world golf in recent years and contributed to the 2021 Ryder Cup victory for the Americans. Morikawa and Fowler are ranked 19 and 25 respectively in WGR.
While nothing is ever guaranteed, they’re facing off against players who currently are ranked below them on the world stage. Anything can happen in the Ryder Cup, but Fowler and Morikawa will hopefully make America proud in their first matchup.
