Why was my deposit rejected?
If your deposit was not accepted, you will receive a notification providing an explanation for the failed deposit attempt. Some of the most common reasons for a rejected deposit are:
You made a mistake when inputting your card or account information:
Please enter your information again and double-check everything before you submit it.
You are located in an ineligible state:
You can find the list of eligible states here. If your state of residence is ineligible, you will not be able to make a deposit.
The deposit method you tried to use is not currently accepted (e.g. Chime/American Express/Prepaid gift cards):
Please try again with one of the methods listed in the section above.
You have met your limit for how many times you can deposit in a specific timeframe:
Please wait a full 24 hours before attempting another deposit.
The name on your deposit method does not match the name on your account:
The name on any card or bank account must match the name on your account. If it does not, we can not process the deposit and may open up an investigation into your account for security reasons.
The payment method is already associated with another account:
PrizePicks will not accept any deposits in which the card is connected to another account. Deposits associated with another account will be rejected. The funds will be returned to your bank account once they go unclaimed. The timeframe to reclaim funds varies for each bank.
You are trying to deposit too much or too little:
In order to encourage responsible play, PrizePicks sets deposit limits for Members. You can lower your limits by accessing the Responsible Gaming tab in your app, but you cannot raise them yourself. If you attempt to deposit an amount that exceeds your limit, you will receive an error message.
The minimum deposit amount is $10 (USD); all attempts to deposit a smaller amount will automatically fail.
Why did the money leave my bank account even though my deposit did not go through?
In some cases, your deposit may be rejected after the money has already left your bank account. Once these funds go unclaimed, your bank will allocate the funds back to your bank account. This usually takes 1-3 days to process, although the timeframe will vary depending on your bank.
Why can't I find my bank?
If you are trying to deposit using Instant Bank Transfer, but your bank does not show up, that means your bank is not accepted by our payment system. You will need to use a different method to deposit funds.
How many payment methods can I have associated with my PrizePicks account?
You may connect up to two (2) credit cards, one (1) bank account, and one (1) PayPal account to your PrizePicks account.
How do I remove or replace payment methods associated with my PrizePicks account?
You can remove a payment method after 60 days have passed since your first deposit using that payment method.
Just log into your account and tap the deposit button in the top right corner. Once you are on the Deposits page, you should see a trash can icon. Click the icon to remove a payment method. If the trash can icon isn't there, that means you still need to wait for your 60 day waiting period to end.
You may only request to remove a payment method once (1) in any calendar month, and no more than five (5) times across any twelve-month span. For security reasons, PayPal does not permit you to remove your account.
I made a deposit by accident. Can I get a refund?
All deposits are nonrefundable, and are considered final once submitted. Please be extra careful to confirm the deposit amount before you finalize your deposit so you don't accidentally transfer more funds than you had planned.
