Week 1 was dominated by running backs, but we saw a shift in Week 2, as teams aired the ball out, leading to more passing touchdowns.

In Week 3, it’s anybody’s game. From quarterbacks to running backs to tight ends, touchdowns are coming from all positions as teams continue to find creative ways to get the ball in the end zone.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara: Rush+Rec TD Scorer (Goblin Pick)

Date: Sunday, September 22, 2024

Time: 1:00 p.m. ET Kickoff

Location: Mercedes-Benz Superdome, New Orleans, La.

TV: FOX, NFL+, YouTube TV

Based on Alvin Kamara’s performance last week, you should’ve already seen this coming. Kamara had a monster 4-touchdown performance in Week 2 against the Cowboys. It looked similar to his famous 2020 Christmas game performance, where he had a career-high six touchdowns.

Kamara absolutely shredded the Cowboys’ defense on the ground and through the air, with one of his four touchdowns coming on a 57-yard pass from Derek Carr. This week the Saints faceoff against the Philadelphia Eagles, who struggled to stop Falcons’ RB Bijan Robinson last week, as he racked up 122 all-purpose yards.

So far, Kamara has scored in every game, and it doesn’t seem like he has any plans to slow down. Through two games, he has 35 carries and 8 targets, showing that he’s a true RB1 in Klint Kubiak’s explosive offense.

Kamara is a safe pick with the Goblin, but still one of the best touchdown scorer predictions available for Week 3.

Other PrizePicks Projections to Consider: Kamara 32.5 Receiving Yards

Falcons TE Kyle Pitts: Rush+Rec TD Scorer (Demon Pick)

Date: Sunday, September 22, 2024

Time: 8:20 p.m. ET Kickoff

Location: Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, Ga.

TV: NBC, NFL+

I know… there has been a love-hate relationship in fantasy football with Kyle Pitts since he came into the league in 2021.

Since being drafted, Pitts has only managed to snag seven total touchdowns. That’s very underwhelming as someone who was heralded as a generational tight end heading into the draft. Week over week, we’ve seen Pitts go scoreless and even catchless; but something about this week is different.

The Falcons finally started figuring their offense out in the final moments of their Week 2 matchup against the Eagles on the game-winning drive. Pitts wasn’t a big playmaker, but the last drive gave a glimpse of what could be.

Luckily for Pitts, that could be as soon as this week, as they head back home to take on the Chiefs. Through the first two weeks of the season, the Chiefs have allowed 25 catches and 266 yards to tight ends.

In Week 1 against the Ravens, Isaiah Likely racked up 111 yards. Against the Bengals in Week 2, they allowed Mike Gesicki to catch 7 passes for 91 yards.

That means in Week 3, Pitts should have a big game and be able to record a touchdown — or two. The Falcons have a lot of untapped potential to unlock as QB Kirk Cousins gets comfortable on his repaired Achilles. That’s good news for Pitts, making him one of the top TD scorer predictions this week.

Other PrizePicks Projections to Consider: Kirk Cousins 0.5 Pass TDs (Goblin) / 230.5 Pass Yards

Bengals WR Ja’Marr Chase: Rush+Rec TD Scorer (Demon Pick)

Date: Monday, September 23, 2024

Time: 8:15 p.m. ET Kickoff

Location: Paul Brown Stadium, Cincinnati, Ohio

TV: ABC, NFL+

The Bengals are hungry. They are 0-2 and desperately need a win and big performances from their stars to silence the media trash talk they’ve been getting for two weeks. WR Ja’Marr Chase has yet to record a receiving touchdown this season, but that should change this week.

Chase and the Bengals face off against the Commanders during primetime on Monday Night. The Commanders are the worst graded pass defense in the NFL, per PFF, already allowing six receiving touchdowns through two games.

This is the perfect team and spot for Chase to get right and score his first touchdown this season.

This is an important week for the Bengals, so expect Joe Burrow to target his top receiver as the Bengals try to get their season back on track. Chase is one of the best touchdown scorer predictions for Week 3, but I would check PrizePicks for other stat types as well, as he’s facing the worst pass defense in the league this Monday night.

PrizePicks Projections to Consider: Ja’Marr Chase 9.5 Rec Targets / 80.5 Rec Yards
