It’s still early in the NFL season, but we’re already getting a clear picture of which players are going to boom and which players are going to bust in fantasy football this year.

Some players have already made the do not touch list, some still have maybe one shot at redemption, and some have yet to land on either side of the fence.

For this week’s touchdown scorer predictions, we have a couple players who are trying to redeem themselves so they can make the list in the future, and an unfamiliar face trying to prove himself.

Even with multiple teams on bye week, the PrizePicks board has plenty of touchdown scorer predictions this week with passing, rushing, receiving options. When you’re done reading, head to the PrizePicks board to lock in your Lineup for Week 6.

NFL Week 6 Touchdown Scorer Predictions

Here are three touchdown scorer predictions for NFL Week 6. All Rush+Rec TD picks are available on the PrizePicks NFL board.

Commanders QB Jayden Daniels: Rush+Rec TD Scorer (Demon)

Date: Sunday, October 13, 2024

Time: 1 p.m. ET Kickoff

Location: M&T Bank Stadium, Baltimore, Md.

TV: CBS

Welcome back to the list, Mr. Daniels. Even though he didn’t score last time he was on this list, Jayden Daniels’ Rush+Rec TD demon is another good touchdown scorer prediction this week, especially with the payout boost on demons.

Commanders RB Brian Robinson Jr. was limited in the Commanders’ game last week and is trending down this week, as he’s a game-time decision. With Robinson bruised up last week, Daniels rushed the ball 11 times, leading the team in carries.

If Robinson misses time, it changes the entire Commanders offense; Daniels will likely take the bulk of carries again, especially in the red zone, where he already has 15 carries (3 per game) this year. RB Austin Ekeler only has nine red-zone carries this year, so it’s likely they’ll prefer Daniels when they get close.

Daniels is already seventh in the NFL in rushing touchdowns, and with the Commanders RB room banged up he will have the opportunity to surpass a few players ahead of him this week.

Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield: 1.5 Pass TD Scorer

Date: Sunday, October 13, 2024

Time: 1 p.m. ET Kickoff

Location: Caesars Superdome, New Orleans, La.

TV: FOX

Another quarterback makes the best touchdown scorer predictions list this week, but this time it’s for pass TDs and not the typical Rush+Rec TD prediction.

Bucs QB Baker Mayfield is second in the league in passing touchdowns and looking to bounce back from a tough prime time loss against the Atlanta Falcons. His Pass TD projection is currently at 1.5 on PrizePicks, which I expect him to easily get, even against a solid Saints defense.

The Bucs have scored quickly and often in the first half of games this season, and I expect them to continue that trend this week.

This is a division battle against a tough defense, and should be a close game. I believe Mayfield will be in situations where they absolutely need to get a touchdown, and without RB Rachaad White (doubtful), I expect Mayfield will have to deliver.

He’s already reached this projection in 3-of-5 games this season.

Falcons RB Bijan Robinson: Rush+Rec TD Scorer (Goblin)

Date: Sunday, October 13, 2024

Time: 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff

Location: Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte, N.C.

TV: FOX

The Falcons play the Panthers this week. Not much more needs to be said, but the Panthers have allowed the most touchdowns this season and given up the most points per game. In every aspect, their defense is bottom of the league.

There will be plenty of opportunity for Robinson to see the end zone this week against the Carolina defense. They have allowed nine rushing touchdowns and 11 receiving, both Robinson’s specialty.

Robinson has only one touchdown on the season, but the Falcons’ offense seem to be finding their groove. Falcon’s OC Zach Robinson is still learning how to utilize Robinson, but he should have a big game this week. While RB Tyler Allgeier is involved around the end zone, Robinson leads in red-zone carries, 9 to 7.

Expect the Falcons to use Robinson heavily this week, especially if the game starts to become a blowout. This TD scorer prediction has a lot of potential, as touchdowns can come from anywhere against the Panthers.
