Despite not scoring a touchdown, the Commanders made seven field goals to defeat the Giants in Week 2 and leveled their season record at 1-1. They have only scored 41 points over two games, while allowing 55 points.
After a disappointing loss to the Patriots in Week 1, the Bengals fell to 0-2 with a loss to the Chiefs in Kansas City in Week 2. After being held to just 10 points in their first game, their offense looked significantly better on their way to scoring 25 points against the Chiefs.
The key injury to make note of for this game is the status of Bengals WR Tee Higgins (hamstring), who is expected to play here after practicing this week. It would not be a surprise to see him play a limited snap count, but he still should add an extra dimension to this offense vs. a porous Commanders pass defense that ranks 32nd in coverage, per PFF.
Bengals WR Ja’Marr Chase 79.5 Receiving Yards — MORE
After holding out for all of the preseason with a contract dispute, Chase is off to a slow start this season. He caught all six of his targets for 62 yards in Week 1, then followed it up with four receptions on five targets for 35 yards in Week 2. After never having averaged fewer than 12.0 yards per reception in a season for his career, Chase has averaged 9.7 yards per reception through two weeks.
This is the matchup for Chase to get back on track. Last season, the Commanders allowed the most passing yards per game (262.2) in the league. This year, they have the worst graded coverage defense on PFF through two games.
Chris Godwin and Mike Evans combined for 144 receiving yards against the Commanders in Week 1. Then Malik Nabers torched them for 127 receiving yards last week. It would not be a surprise to see Chase post his first 100-yard game of the season, especially with Tee Higgins drawing some attention from the defense.

Bengals RB Zack Moss 13.5 Rush Attempts — MORE
The Bengals moved on from Joe Mixon for a seventh-round pick during the offseason, replacing him with RB Zack Moss.
Second-year RB Chase Brown is also in the fold, but he has logged a total of just 27 offensive snaps through the first two games. Moss has played 81 total offensive snaps — he’s clearly the RB1 for this team.
Despite Moss being on the field so often, he has just 21 carries in two games, which has brought this projection down. But in those games, the Bengals were trying to play catchup after falling into an early hole in Week 1, then had to keep up versus the Chiefs in Week 2.
The Bengals have the potential to build a significant early lead against the Commanders’ bottom-feeder defense, which could leave Moss to salt away the clock on the ground in the fourth quarter and pad his rushing attempts.
Related PrizePicks Projection: Moss 51.5 Rush Yards
Bengals WR Ja’Marr Chase 0.5 Rush + Rec TD Scorer (Demon Pick)
Chase recorded 29 touchdown receptions over his first three seasons in the league. That was despite him missing a total of six games. He was targeted 21 times inside the red zone last season, 10 of which came inside the 10-yard line.
In a game in which the Bengals shouldn’t have a problem putting points on the board, Chase could have multiple opportunities to reach the end zone.
Note: Demon picks add a payout boost to your lineup on PrizePicks, as they are more difficult projections to hit.
Bengals QB Joe Burrow 1.5 Pass TDs — MORE (Goblin Pick)
Baker Mayfield threw four touchdown passes against the Commanders in Week 1.
As surprising as that was, it was even more surprising that Daniel Jones compiled two touchdown passes against them last week. Jones hasn’t finished with more than 15 touchdown passes in a season since 2019.
Burrow recorded two touchdown passes against the Chiefs last week and has a favorable opportunity to at least duplicate that total Monday.
With a weak pass defense on the Commanders side, and the 29th ranked rushing offense for the Bengals, we couldn’t ask for a better spot for Burrow to find the end zone a few times.
Related PrizePicks Projection: Burrow 2.5 Pass TDs (Demon Pick)
Note: Goblin picks reduce your payout on PrizePicks, as they are easier projections to hit.
