Monday NBA Games to Target for NBA DFS, PrizePicks
Here are two games to target for NBA DFS fantasy production on PrizePicks today, Monday, January 20, on MLK Day.
Timberwolves vs. Grizzlies
Time: 2:30 p.m. ET
How to Watch: TNT, MAX
We have two contrasting styles of play for this matchup. The Grizzlies have played at the fastest pace in the league (105 possessions per game), while the Timberwolves have played at the fourth-slowest pace (97.39). However, both teams rank inside the top-seven in the league in defensive rating.
Timberwolves G Donte DiVincenzo (toe) will miss his third straight game, paving the way for Timberwolves G Mike Conley Jr. to receive another start. Timberwolves C Rudy Gobert (ankle), who has yet to miss a game this season, is listed as questionable. Grizzlies G Ja Morant (foot) is listed as questionable after also sitting out Friday against the Spurs.
PrizePicks Projection to Consider: Timberwolves F Julius Randle 12.5 Rebs+Asts — More
Celtics vs. Warriors
Time: 5 p.m. ET
How to Watch: TNT, MAX
Despite playing at the seventh-slowest pace (97.96) in the league, the Celtics have the third-best offensive rating (118.8). Both of these teams also stand out on the defensive side of the ball. The Celtics have the fifth-best defensive rating (109.8), while the Warriors have the ninth-best defensive rating (111.0).
The Warriors will be shorthanded for this game with F/C Draymond Green (calf), F Jonathan Kuminga (ankle), and G Brandin Podziemski (abdomen) all out. To complicate matters, Warriors G Stephen Curry (ankle) is listed as questionable. The Celtics are in much better shape with no players of note on their injury report.
PrizePicks Projection to Consider: Celtics F/C Kristaps Porzingis 18.5 Points — More

NBA DFS Picks Today for PrizePicks
Here are four NBA DFS picks to help you build your PrizePicks NBA Lineups for today, Monday, January 20, on MLK Day.
Hawks F Jalen Johnson 14 Rebs+Asts – More
Hawks F Jalen Johnson (shoulder) is listed as probable for this matchup. He made his return from a five-game absence Saturday, logging 38 minutes against the Celtics. He scored a modest 14 points in the game, but he finished with 13 rebounds and three assists. For the season, he is averaging 10.2 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game. In both of his previous meetings with the Knicks, he combined for at least 22 rebounds and assists. Don’t be surprised if he blows past this projection.
Rockets G Jalen Green 23.5 Points – More
Rockets G Jalen Green has scored at least 26 points in each of his last eight games. During that span, he shot 54.1% from the field and averaged 19.9 shot attempts per game. He played some good defensive teams during that span, including the Celtics and Grizzlies. The same can’t be said for the Pistons, who rank 17th in defensive rating (113.3).
Cavaliers C Jarrett Allen 27.5 Pts+Rebs – More
Cavaliers F Evan Mobley (calf) has been ruled out for his second straight game. While Cavaliers C Jarrett Allen had just 14 points and four rebounds without Mobley on Saturday against the Timberwolves, the key was that he logged 36 minutes. He just happened to have a difficult matchup against Timberwolves C Rudy Gobert. The duo of Suns C Nick Richards and Suns C Mason Plumlee isn’t nearly as daunting, so look for Allen to have a great bounce-back performance.
Jazz G Isaiah Collier 9.5 Rebs+Asts — More (Goblin)
The Jazz are already tanking. They have ruled out F Lauri Markkanen (back), F John Collins (hip), G Jordan Clarkson (foot), and G Collin Sexton (rest). With so many key contributors sitting lately, Collier has averaged 30 minutes over their last seven games. During that span, he averaged 4.9 rebounds and 8.6 assists.
He had at least 11 combined rebounds and assists in each matchup. That included 18 combined rebounds and assists against the Pelicans on Friday. This Goblin Pick is too appealing to ignore with the Jazz still so shorthanded.
