NFL Week 9 Preview and NFL Daily Fantasy Projections
NFL Week 9 Preview and Schedule
It’s hard to believe it and we don’t even want to think about it. But the NFL regular season will be more than halfway over after this week. It’s been a wild and unpredictable ride so far, so we put together this NFL Week 9 preview with our best NFL DFS projections.
Every week it seems like another team is rising towards the top while a juggernaut falls off. The 49ers are beat up and keep losing games, the Eagles are soaring again with a solid performance from Hurts and the whole team, and injuries are shaking things up across the league.
As quarterbacks like Joe Burrow have gotten healthier as the season has progressed and others like Kirk Cousins have been put on the IR, it’s crucial to keep this in mind when making fantasy entries. In recent weeks Ja’Marr Chase has seen his stats skyrocket while we’ll likely see Justin Jefferson start to fall off.
Looking ahead at this week’s slate, we’ve got some hot games to push us over the hump into the back half of the season. And to make things even more interesting, we even have a spicy matchup in Frankfurt, Germany which could be a preview of the AFC championship.

NFL DFS Projections - Week 9 and Frankfurt Game
Pass Yards
Patrick Mahomes - QB, KC
The Dolphins and Chiefs both sit at 6-2, tied with a few other teams atop the AFC. This week they take center stage in Frankfurt, Germany for an exciting international series matchup between two juggernauts.
Patty Mahomes has been on a tear lately, averaging about 290 YPG in his last 5. This week he’s projected at 295.5 against a Miami defense that shows weakness at times. We’re not sure if Taylor Swift will be there but we do know that Mahomes’ favorite target, Travis Kelce always puts up crazy numbers when she’s around.

Joe Burrow - QB, CIN
The season started rough for Burrow and the Bengals as Joe Cool battled through an injury in the first few weeks. Ja’Marr Chase even expressed his repeated frustrations in the media about his lack of production despite always being open “like 7/11”.
But now Burrow is back and functioning at the highest level we've seen all season alongside Chase who’s back to putting up record numbers. This week they face a tough Bills team on SNF and have a chance to show that they’re truly back. Watch for Burrow to light it up in primetime.

Receiving Yards
Tyreek Hill - WR, MIA
Tyreek watch is still on in full effect as he pursues his goal to be the first receiver to reach 2,000 yards in a season. So far he’s off to an absolutely record start. This week the Dolphins face a tough team and the game is thousands of miles away in Germany.
Tyreek is averaging around 120 yards per game in his last 5 and is projected 100 against the Chiefs in Frankfurt. To make a statement win, Miami will need Tyreek to make a statement performance.

Rush Yards
Derrick Henry - RB, TEN
The Titans are off to a slow start and it’s sad to think we’re getting to the end of Derrick Henry’s reign in the NFL as one the elite backs. Fortunately, he’s still got some gas left in the tank and has been trending upwards in production.
This week the Titans head into Pittsburgh to face a feisty unit led by Mike Tomlin. “Tractorcito” is averaging just over 75 yards per game in his last 5 which is slightly above his 74.5 yard projection. In his last 2 games he rushed for 101 and 97 so things could be trending the right way for the veteran RB.
