What Channel is Thursday Night Football on?

All Thursday Night Football games will be exclusively on Prime Video, with the exception of the season opener and Thanksgiving game on NBC and Peacock.

That means you’ll need an Amazon Prime subscription ($14.99/month) to watch almost all Thursday Night Football games in 2024.

Amazon and the NFL signed an agreement for exclusive rights to Thursday Night Football through 2033. It’s estimated that Amazon pays $1 billion per year for the rights to stream the games.

The NFL also added two Christmas Day games that will be streamed exclusively on Netflix for the 2024 season, adding to the list of platforms NFL fans will need to subscribe to to watch every game this year.

Thursday Night Football Previews 2024

Every Thursday in 2022, an average of 16.7 viewers tuned in to watch Thursday Night Football, according to Statista. Although it’s a massive weekly draw, past Thursday Night Football schedules tend to be quite dry, featuring some of the league’s worst teams in snooze fest games.

This year, however, we’re slated for a ton of great Thursday Night Football action. Let’s break down the must-watch score and one thing to look forward to in each game for the 2024 season.

Baltimore Ravens @ Kansas City Chiefs — September 5, 2024

Where to watch: NBC & Peacock

Must-watch score: 10/10

We’re looking forward to…

Football being back. Two of the best teams in the NFL going head-to-head. Two MVP QBs leading their teams. What more could you ask for to start the NFL season?

Green Bay Packers @ Philadelphia Eagles — September 6, 2024

Where to watch: Peacock (streaming)

Must-watch score: 9/10

We’re looking forward to…

Jordan Love’s return after his incredible run to end 2024, plus RB Josh Jacobs debut with the Packers.

Buffalo Bills @ Miami Dolphins — September 12, 2024

Where to watch: Prime Video

Must-watch score: 10/10

We’re looking forward to…

The two best teams in the AFC East going head-to-head. Tyreek Hill vs. a secondary that kept him in check  with 5-58 and 7-82-1 statlines last season.

New England Patriots @ New York Jets — September 19, 2024

Where to watch: Prime Video

Must-watch score: 6/10

We’re looking forward to…

The new-look Patriots, ideally led by No. 3 overall pick Drake May. Plus the third game of the Aaron Rodgers to Garrett Wilson connection, behind a completely revamped offensive line.

Dallas Cowboys @ New York Giants — September 26, 2024

Where to watch: Prime Video

Must-watch score: 6.5/10

We’re looking forward to…

Giants WR Malik Nabers vs. Cowboys corners Trevon Diggs and DaRon Bland. Plus the Cowboys defensive front vs the Giants bottom-five offensive line.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Atlanta Falcons — October 3, 2024

Where to watch: Prime Video

Must-watch score: 7/10

We’re looking forward to…

Bijan Robinson in a primetime game — he’s primed for a big season. Plus, Baker Mayfield looking to prove himself in his second year in Tampa Bay.

San Francisco 49ers @ Seattle Seahawks — October 10, 2024

Where to watch: Prime Video

Must-watch score: 7.5/10

We’re looking forward to…

The former NFC Champions on primetime — it’s always a delight to watch the Kyle Shanhan offense on an island game. For the Seahawks, it’s how Geno Smith will perform on his 34th birthday with an opportunity for a statement win.

Denver Broncos @ New Orleans Saints — October 17, 2024

Where to watch: Prime Video

Must-watch score: 5/10

We’re looking forward to…

Seeing how Javonte Williams looks after the offensive reshuffle for the Broncos. Hopefully, we’ll get to see Bo Nix start here; if not, that means Zach Wilson is holding his own in Denver, which could be exciting in its own right.

Minnesota Vikings @ Los Angeles Rams — October 24, 2024

Where to watch: Prime Video

Must-watch score: 5/10

We’re looking forward to…

First and foremost: Justin Jefferson, Cooper Kupp, Puka Nacua, Jordan Addison — the receiving options in this game are unreal. The Rams receivers should cook here. But also, how RB Aaron Jones fits in in the Vikings offense. Lastly, the Vikings QB situation, as J.J. McCarthy may have won the starting role by this time in season.

Houston Texans @ New York Jets — October 31, 2024

Where to watch: Prime Video

Must-watch score: 8/10

We’re looking forward to…

The new future of the NFL vs the old in CJ Stroud vs Aaron Rodgers, assuming Rodgers can stay healthy. Especially Stroud, who adds a top receiver in Stefon Diggs.

Cincinnati Bengals @ Baltimore Ravens — November 7, 2024

Where to watch: Prime Video

Must-watch score: 9/10

We’re looking forward to…

A classic AFC North matchup, one that will already likely have playoff implications. How the Bengals look vs a top defense without Joe Mixon and a short on WR talent will be interesting as well. I’d imagine they’ll be outmatched here.

Washington Commanders @ Philadelphia Eagles — November 14, 2024

Where to watch: Prime Video

Must-watch score: 7/10

We’re looking forward to…

It’s hard to know what we’ll get out of Washington this year, but I’m hopeful that No. 2 overall pick Jayden Daniels will keep them competitive. Two dual-threat QBs going head-to-head should be a ton of fun to watch.

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Cleveland Browns — November 21, 2024

Where to watch: Prime Video

Must-watch score: 7/10

We’re looking forward to…

Likely to be Justin Fields vs Deshaun Watson versus two stacked defenses, this should be a lot of fun to watch. That’s not typical of these AFC North matchups, which can tend to be low-scoring slogs. But both teams have the pieces to put points on the board.

Miami Dolphins @ Green Bay Packers — November 28, 2024

Where to watch: NBC

Must-watch score: 9/10

We’re looking forward to…

The food coma on the couch after Thanksgiving Dinner. Tua Tagovailoa vs. Jordan Love. CB Jalen Ramsey’s comeback season for the Dolphins, plus CB Jaire Alexander going head-to-head with Tyreek Hill.

Las Vegas Raiders @ Kansas City Chiefs — November 29, 2024

Where to watch: Prime Video

Must-watch score: 4/10

We’re looking forward to…

Patrick Mahomes on an island game. Otherwise, this game will likely be a brutal watch at a kind of random time — afternoon on Black Friday.

Green Bay Packers @ Detroit Lions — December 5, 2024

Where to watch: Prime Video

Must-watch score: 8/10

We’re looking forward to…

This game is likely to have playoff implications, both for the NFC North and NFC Wild Card picture. Game-changing Lions DE Aidan Hutchinson vs the Packers’ offensive line is one to watch as well. Also for the Lions, the Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams duo should be in full force here.

Los Angeles Rams @ San Francisco 49ers — December 12, 2024

Where to watch: Prime Video

Must-watch score: 7/10

We’re looking forward to…

49ers defensive seven vs. Matthew Stafford will be important here. The Rams played the 49ers close twice last year, and these tend to be close games. Both coaches are some of the smartest in the NFL, leading to some exciting strategic football.

Cleveland Browns @ Cincinnati Bengals — December 19, 2024

Where to watch: Prime Video

Must-watch score: 7/10

We’re looking forward to…

Hopefully, we get a game with playoff implications here, but it’s hard to know with the AFC North, where all four teams are competitive. Joe Burrow vs the Browns defense should make for a competitive game, albeit likely low-scoring.

Seattle Seahawks @ Chicago Bears — December 26, 2024

Where to watch: Prime Video

Must-watch score: 5/10

We’re looking forward to…

Caleb Williams on primetime to wrap up the Thursday Night Football schedule on the day after Christmas. I don’t foresee this game having playoff implications, which makes it one of the least anticipated TNF games of 2024.
