2025 NFL Free Agency: Top Wide Receivers Available
Below is a list of the top six WRs available in free agency that could be moving teams come March 12.
Bengals WR Tee Higgins
Bengals WR Tee Higgins is the consensus top wide receiver in free agency. He hauled in 10 touchdown receptions despite playing in just 12 games last year. Higgins also has four seasons with at least 900 receiving yards in his career. The one downside with Higgins is injuries. He has played 14 or fewer games in three of the last four seasons. Higgins averaged 75.9 yards per game in 2024 as the Bengals WR2.
Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin
Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin saw his 2024 campaign come to an end after just seven games because of an ankle injury. That broke his streak of three straight seasons with at least 80 receptions and 1,000 receiving yards. Godwin is expected to be healthy heading into training camp next season, but it’s unknown whether he’ll be back in Tampa Bay. However, the Bucs are a front-runner to get Godwin in free agency as of now.
Texans WR Stefon Diggs
The Texans acquired WR Stefon Diggs in a trade with the Bills prior to last season to provide another talented receiving option for QB C.J. Stroud. However, Diggs suffered a torn ACL in October that ended his season. He appeared in just eight games, catching 47 of 64 targets for 496 yards and three touchdowns. He averaged 10.6 yards per reception, which was the second-lowest mark of his career. This upcoming season will be Diggs’ 11th in the NFL, and he will turn 32 years old in November.

Bears WR Keenan Allen
Despite playing in 15 games, Bears WR Keenan Allen finished with 70 receptions and 744 receiving yards. Both of those were his lowest marks in any season in which he has played at least 11 games.
The Bears already have DJ Moore and Rome Odunze — who had 734 yards in his rookie season — at wide receiver. So bringing back Allen — turning 33 in April — might not be a priority.
Bills WR Amari Cooper
The Bills traded for WR Amari Cooper during the season to try and provide a boost at wide receiver. However, he only had a minimal impact, catching 20 of 32 targets for 297 yards and two touchdowns across eight games, and never really finding his stride among the Bills receivers. Across 14 combined games with the Browns and Bills, Cooper had 44 receptions for 547 yards and four touchdowns in 2024. Prior to last year, Cooper had recorded at least 1,100 receiving yards in four of the previous five seasons.
Cooper will turn 31 years old in June.
Chiefs WR Marquise Brown
Chiefs WR Marquise Brown will be a free agent for the second straight offseason, as he signed a one-year deal with the Chiefs last offseason. While he found himself in an ideal situation with Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, he injured his shoulder prior to the season even starting. He didn’t make his Chiefs debut until Week 16. Including the playoffs, Brown did not finish with more than 46 receiving yards in any of his five games.
His best season came back in 2021 when he finished with 91 receptions for 1,008 yards and six touchdowns with the Ravens.

2025 NFL Free Agency: Top Tight Ends Available
Below is a list of the top three tight ends available in free agency that could be moving teams come March 12.
Saints TE Juwan Johnson
Saints TE Juwan Johnson set career highs last season in targets (66), receptions (50), and receiving yards (548). His best performance came in Week 18 when he caught six of seven targets for 80 yards against the Buccaneers. Despite Johnson showing flashes of upside, his production was often limited with TE Taysom Hill also in the fold. Johnson turns 29 years old in September, so he might not be a part of the Saints long-term plan.
Commanders TE Zach Ertz
Commanders TE Zach Ertz proved to be a reliable outlet for rookie QB Jayden Daniels. He was targeted 91 times, which were his most targets in a season since 2019. He recorded 66 receptions and seven touchdowns, but he finished with a modest 654 receiving yards. Given his success in his first season in Washington, especially in the Playoffs, it would not be a surprise if the team tries to bring him back to provide Daniels with some consistency heading into his second season.
Bears TE Gerald Everett
Bears TE Gerald Everett will be released after signing a two-year contract with the team last offseason. Despite playing in all 17 games last season, Everett was targeted a total of 13 times. He was blocked by Bears TE Cole Kmet, who was targeted 55 times. While Everett has never finished with more than 555 receiving yards in a season, he was targeted at least 60 times in each of his previous five seasons.
Additional Top Free Agent Tight Ends
- Bengals TE Mike Gesicki
- Jets TE Tyler Conklin
- Patriots TE Austin Hooper
- Colts TE Mo Alie-Cox
- Browns TE Jordan Akins
