Who to Start in Fantasy Football? NFL Week 14 First Look
Week 14 will be a bit tricky for fantasy football, with six teams on a bye. The Ravens, Commanders, and Texans are among them, which means that some of the most productive players in fantasy football won’t be available to managers.
That could make for some difficult start or sit decisions among those players who are still scheduled to take the field.
We have a wide variety of picks and projections to consider on PrizePicks to help decide who to start in fantasy football. Let’s take an early look at the PrizePicks NFL board and highlight some of the more appealing players to start in fantasy football this week at each position.

Who to Start in Week 14: Quarterbacks
Steelers QB Russell Wilson 232.5 Pass Yards – More
Steelers QB Russell Wilson produced his best stat line of the season last week, throwing for 414 yards, three touchdowns and one interception against the Bengals. Since becoming the Steelers starter, Wilson has thrown for at least 264 yards in four of six games. That included a Week 12 performance against the Browns in which he threw for 270 yards and one touchdown.
The Browns have allowed the highest explosive pass percentage (17.22%) in the league per 4for4 Fantasy Football, setting up Wilson to also play well in their Week 14 rematch.
Titans QB Will Levis 202.5 Pass Yards – More
The Titans were blown out last week, going down 28-0 in the first quarter, which resulted in Titans QB Will Levis attempting 37 passes. He finished with 212 passing yards, marking his third-straight game with at least that many passing yards. He also has at least two touchdown passes in three of his last four games.
Those looking for help at quarterback could receive a valuable stat line from Levis when he faces the Jaguars, who have allowed the second-highest explosive pass percentage (17.13%) in the league, per 4for4.
Who to Start in Week 14: Running Backs
Eagles RB Saquon Barkley 105.5 Rush Yards – More
Eagles RB Saquon Barkley continues to churn out monster stat lines. Last week, he had 107 rushing yards and a touchdown against the Ravens. That marked the sixth time over his last seven games that Barkley has rushed for at least 107 yards.
Look for Barkley to stay hot when he faces the Panthers, who have the second-highest rush EPA per play allowed (0.10) in the league, per 4for4. He should get plenty of run in a game the Eagles are expected to lead in.
Saints RB Alvin Kamara 78.5 Rush Yards – More
The Giants are in trouble when it comes to stopping the run. They already have the fourth-highest rush EPA per play allowed (0.07) in the league, per 4for4. Things will be even more difficult for them now that Giants DL Dexter Lawrence (elbow) is on injured reserve.
The stars could be aligning for a monster performance from Saints RB Alvin Kamara, who has already rushed for at least 112 yards in two of his last four games.

Cardinals RB James Conner 64.5 Rush Yards – More
Cardinals RB James Conner wasn’t overly efficient against the Vikings last week, turning 17 carries into 68 yards. That marked the seventh time this season that Conner received at least 17 carries in a game. He has finished with at least 68 rushing yards in six of those games.
Expect him to have another heavy workload against the Seahawks, who have allowed the sixth-highest yards per carry (4.86) to running backs in the league.
Who to Start in Week 14: Wide Receivers
Steelers WR George Pickens 72.5 Receiving Yards – More
Steelers WR George Pickens only caught three passes last week, but he made them count, finishing with 74 receiving yards and a touchdown. He was held in check by the Browns two weeks ago, catching four passes for 48 yards. However, that was the only time over his last six games that he finished under 74 receiving yards.
With him averaging 15.5 yards per reception and 7.5 targets per game, look for Pickens to produce a better stat line in this rematch.
Giants WR Malik Nabers 67.5 Receiving Yards – More
The Giants looked to WR Malik Nabers early and often against the Cowboys last week in QB Drew Lock’s first start, leaving him to total 13 targets. He caught eight of them for 69 yards. Despite their issues at quarterback, Nabers has been targeted at least nine times in five-straight games.
Expect Nabers to continue to be busy against the Saints, who have allowed the ninth-highest explosive pass rate (14.51%) in the league, per 4for4.
Saints WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling 35.5 Receiving Yards – More
Saints WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling is a big play waiting to happen. Over his last three games, he has totaled four receptions of at least 20 yards. He has never averaged fewer than 15.0 yards per reception in any season in which he has played at least 10 games.
His big play upside makes him a difficult matchup for the Giants, who have allowed the eighth-highest yards per target to wide receivers (8.28) in the league. Look for Valdes-Scantling to break loose against Giants again this week.
It’s worth noting that WR Chris Olave (concussion) could return this week, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see Valdes-Scantling remain in the same role even if he does return.
Who to Start in Week 14: Tight Ends
Raiders TE Brock Bowers 68.5 Receiving Yards – More
Raiders TE Brock Bowers is well on his way to 100 receptions and 1,000 receiving yards in his rookie season. He was targeted 14 times against the Chiefs last week, turning them into 10 receptions for 140 yards.
Over the last eight games, he has received at least 10 targets six times. He could roast the Buccaneers, who have allowed the highest yards per target to tight ends (9.09) in the league.
Cardinals TE Trey McBride 62.5 Receiving Yards – More
Cardinals TE Trey McBride has caught 12 passes in back-to-back games. He finished with 133 receiving yards against the Seahawks in Week 12, then 96 receiving yards against the Vikings last week.
Across his last five games, he has finished with at least 71 receiving yards four times. There should be no shortage of passes coming McBride’s way during his Week 14 rematch with the Seahawks.
