Army vs. Navy Picks & Predictions for CFB DFS on PrizePicks
The Army vs. Navy game is the pinnacle of tradition, not only in college football, but in all of sports. First played in 1890, this has been a long-standing tradition that each team looks forward to every season.
No matter if the teams are good or bad, you throw that out the window for one of the biggest rivalries in college sports. This year, these two teams will face off on Saturday, December 14 at 3 p.m. ET.
We’ll give you four of the best Army vs. Navy picks for CFB DFS in the season’s most anticipated tradition in college football.
We’re in luck that each team has been fantastic this season, with Navy (8-3) and Army (11-1) being ranked together for the first time in over 60 years earlier this season. While we will see the triple-option offense throughout this game, it may not be the traditional low-scoring contest we’re used to, as both teams finished the season in the top 40 in points per game in college football.
Let’s get into top players and their potential impact on the game for college football DFS, including projections for QBs Blake Horvath and Bryson Daily.

Army vs. Navy CFB DFS Picks for PrizePicks
Here are the top CFB DFS picks for Army vs. Navy Click to read more analysis on each pick.
- Army QB Bryson Daily 149.5 Rushing Yards – More (Demon)
- Army RB Kanye Udoh 67.5 Rushing Yards – More
- Navy QB Blake Horvath 164.5 Pass+Rush Yards – More
- Navy RB Alex Tecza 33.5 Rushing Yards – More
Army QB Bryson Daily 149.5 Rushing Yards – More (Demon)
Daily has excelled in this Army offense; he’s only attempted 199 passes in his college career compared to 491 carries. It worked so well that he finished the season ninth in rushing yards (1,480) and tied Heisman hopeful Ashton Jeanty with 29 rushing touchdowns.
While Navy can run, it can’t defend, as the Midshipmen allowed 159.8 rushing yards per game. This is one of their toughest matchups, and they just went against Tulane and Notre Dame, who were in the top 55 in rushing and had over 120 rushing yards in each game.
Daily’s athleticism is matched by an offensive line that will follow him to open lanes and create big plays.
Army RB Kanye Udoh 67.5 Rushing Yards – More
It would be easy to just follow Daily and try to stop him, but you also have to worry about RB Kanye Udoh. When Udoh finds the open field, he’s gone — that has to be a concern for Navy.
There have been games where he doesn’t get heavy usage, but that’s been rarer than not, as he has at least 13 carries in eight of 12 games, averaging 6.4 yards per carry.
In a rivalry game, we should see the Black Knights deploy all of their available options, and Udoh is likely to see a lot of usage.
Navy QB Blake Horvath 164.5 Pass+Rush Yards – More
The Midshipmen are a little different in that they actually do pass. Passes were on only 24.5% of their plays, but it is way more than Army’s 13.4%. Horvath can move the ball when given a chance, with a 58.5% completion rate, and his 82.1 QBR is ninth in the nation.
Army was great against the pass, ranking 37th in yards allowed (193.9), and that’s why we will take Horvath’s combination of passing yards and rushing.
We can closely compare this game to the one against Air Force, as the two have similar playing styles. Air Force was 27th against the pass; Horvath had 134 passing yards and 115 rushing yards in that matchup. The passing + rushing yards combo makes sense here.
Horvath will be key to Navy’s offense in this game, and he’s gone more on this number in almost every game he’s played fully in this season.
Navy RB Alex Tecza 33.5 Rushing Yards – More
We don’t see many fullbacks in football anymore, but Tecza holds down that position with honor. He is the guy they will give the ball to in short-yardage situations, but he can still show flashes and has broken a ten-yard run in seven games.
The battle for time of possession will be the key, and Navy will want to use Tecza to move the sticks and drain the clock as often as it can.
