Monday Night Football tonight is set to be a good one between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs — a 2021 Super Bowl rematch. We’ve got Monday Night Football picks and predictions for Bucs vs. Chiefs below for PrizePicks and NFL DFS, including three players to focus on.

The Chiefs, who sit atop the NFL as the only team without a loss, play host to the beat up 4-4 Bucs. The Bucs, still without elite WRs Chris Godwin and Mike Evans, will look to rally and play spoiler to the Chiefs who are one win away from a franchise record 14th straight win and are playing in the loudest stadium in the world.

Below, we’ll highlight some of the best NFL DFS picks for Monday Night Football and a Demon pick to boost your payout for the game.

Don’t forget to head to the PrizePicks NFL board, lock in your picks by choosing more or less on player projections, and build your Lineup to get in on the real money sports action.

Monday Night Football Picks: Buccaneers vs. Chiefs

Here are three of the top Bucs vs. Chiefs picks on Monday Night Football, plus a full game prediction.

Buccaneers TE Cade Otton 12.5 Fantasy Score — More

With so many question marks surrounding who would step up with clear No. 1 and 2 receivers down, tight end Cade Otton has surprisingly emerged as the beneficiary in the Bucs passing game.

QB Baker Mayfield said in an interview that Otton had been doing the dirty work when Evans and Godwin were healthy. But now he’s able to “showcase his physical talent… and you’re seeing him thrive because of that.” And thriving he has been.

In the last two weeks, Otton among all tight ends ranks:

  • 1st in receptions (17)
  • 1st in missed tackles forced (4)
  • 2nd in receiving yards (181)
  • 2nd in receiving TDs (2)
  • 3rd in first downs at 9

The passing game is fully flowing through Otton and now he will see the Chiefs defense, who while respectable, are 2nd to last in TE fantasy score allowed per game, but are strong at their outside corner positions. At 13.3 fantasy points allowed to TEs on average, this matchup will have Otton licking his chops, as he’s yet to face a defense bottom 5 against his position.

Even if Otton doesn’t find the end zone for the third time in as many weeks, he could clear this projection off volume alone. In the last two weeks, Otton has amassed 20 targets, good for fifth among players across the league.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes 0.5 INTs — More (Demon)

It’s no secret seeing a player's last five projections all cash is tempting to take. A player going seven straight would be even more tempting. Enter Patrick Mahomes, who has now cashed his INT projection every week of the season, even with it being a demon pick.

Mahomes just hasn’t been quite the same this season, and his TD to INT ratio reflects that. He currently sits at 8 passing TDs to his 9 INTs, averaging 1.2 INTs a game.

While the Buccaneers have only come down with 5 INTs, Mahomes has managed to throw a pick to every defense he’s seen. Five of the Chiefs seven opponents have averaged less than a single interception a game, and in every one Mahomes recorded an interception.

Mahomes is still missing top WRs Rashee Rice, Marquise Brown, and JuJu Smith-Schuster, which has made passing a bit harder to come by this year. I’ll continue riding the hot hand, or the lack thereof, and take the guy who has hit this interception projection seven straight games — regardless of game script or matchup — to do it again on Monday night.

Note: Demon picks add a payout boost to your lineup on PrizePicks, as they are more difficult projections to hit.

Buccaneers RB Bucky Irving 16.5 Receiving Yards — More

While Otton has seen the bulk of the passing game sans Evans and Godwin, RB Bucky Irving has also seen a big boost in receiving production, going for more than 15.5 receiving yards in three straight, including 7 receptions on 7 targets last week.

The only team that does better against the run in the NFL than the Chiefs is the Ravens. Two weeks ago against the Ravens, Irving got little done against the ground going 9 for 23, yet on three catches went for 54 yards.

While it remains a mystery why the Bucs continue to trot out Rachaad White as the team's RB1, Irving continues to impress every time he gets the ball. Among all RBs, Irving has the highest missed tackle forced rate at 44.7%.

Irving also has the 6th-highest yards after contact among RBs in the passing game, with only one man above him having less touches. If last week is any indication in which Irving set his season high marks in targets and receptions, trust is building and Mayfield knows if he gets the ball to his rookie RB, good things will happen.

Monday Night Football Prediction: Chiefs 27, Buccaneers 20

The Chiefs are undefeated for a reason. They aren’t blowing their opponents out but have been doing enough week in and week out to get it done.

If the Buccaneers weren’t without their top two guys in Godwin and Evans, this would be a harder choice. Otton and Irving stepping up won't be enough and with a less dynamic offense, the Chiefs shouldn’t have much problem out pacing them.

I see the at home Chiefs moving to a league best 8-0, and the once red hot Bucs falling to below .500 at 4-5.
