After three days, seven rounds, and 257 draft picks, the 2025 NFL Draft has come to an end. Now, teams have their eyes set on the regular season — and fans have their eyes set on the 2025 fantasy football season.

While these rookies will get a new start in the NFL, many players may have just been relegated to smaller roles on their teams. Below, we will take a look at some of the fantasy football players whose stock fell due to how the draft played out.

Post-Draft Fantasy Football Players Stock Down Players

Listed below are five players whose stock dropped in fantasy football after the 2025 NFL Draft.

With many revolving pieces in every offense, a lot of these players were impacted by draft picks not only at their position, but high draft picks that might cause their teams to emphasize an alternate gameplan.

Bucs WR Mike Evans: Drafted WR Emeka Egbuka

In what was maybe the most head scratching pick of the first round, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers drafted Emeka Egbuka with the 19th overall pick. While Ohio State WR Emeka Egbuka is a proven talent and arguably the most NFL-ready receiver in this draft class, the pick doesn’t fit a positional need for the team as the Buccaneers have both Mike Evans — who enters the last year of his contract at age 32 — and Chris Godwin, who just signed a 3-year, $66 million deal this offseason.

Tampa Bay made this move as there might be some health concerns with both Evans and Godwin, who were sidelined with injuries this past season. Godwin’s was more serious, as he dislocated his ankle and missed the second half of the season. The Bucs also have 2024 third-round pick Jalen McMillan, who emerged with seven touchdowns in the final five regular season games.

If everyone is able to stay healthy, it will be interesting to see how the target share percentage is spread between everyone. While Evans and Godwin will get prioritization as QB Baker Mayfield and Egbuka work on their chemistry, Egbuka could easily prove to be a reliable option and take targets from Evans.

Evans is still projected to have a fairly successful season. Projected at 924.5 receiving yards and 7.5 touchdowns in PrizePicks’ NFL season-long fantasy football game, Evans will make his quest for another 1,000-yard season. Egbuka is projected for 574.5 receiving yards in 2025 — higher than McMillan’s 461 yards from his 2024 rookie season.

WR D.J Moore: Bears Drafted TE Colston Loveland & WR Luther Burden III

While D.J. Moore is the most proven piece on this Bears offense, the addition of so many young pieces will continue to dwindle his draft stock, as there are so many players in the fold. And the first year from QB Caleb Williams won’t exactly inspire confidence that he can feed multiple receivers consistently.

While the main priority is to get as many weapons as possible Williams, especially in the short passing game, the concern for Moore’s impact is completely fair.

An offense with pieces such as RB D'Andre Swift, WR Rome Odunze, and TE Cole Kmet already on it already tanks his value slightly. Adding a TE2 to be able to run two tight end sets alongside a valid receiver option in Luther Burden III — a consensus top five WR in the draft — makes it likely Moore’s targets will take a hit this season.

Moore’s projections are listed at 1,025.5 receiving yards along with 6.5 receiving touchdowns on the NFLSZN board on PrizePicks. Loveland’s projections are set at 550.5 receiving yards and 4.5 touchdowns.

RB Najee Harris: Chargers Drafted RB Omarion Hampton

Chargers RB Najee Harris came into this season looking for a refresh with the Los Angeles Chargers after four consecutive 1,000-yard seasons with the Steelers. In what seemed to be one of the best fantasy value teams for Harris now looks like a brutal situation after the Chargers took North Carolina RB Omarion Hampton with the No. 22 pick.

As the consensus second RB prospect in this draft, Hampton is expected to be able to step into a starting role from day one in the NFL.

While Harris is established at the position and the Chargers do plan to run the ball heavily under coach Jim Harbaugh, Hampton’s explosiveness will make him the better option. Hampton can play all three downs as he is proven to have an impact in the passing game, in pass blocking, and as a runner.

His abilities might force Harris into the power back type of role by the middle of the season, if not sooner. Not only did they draft Hampton, but they also drafted another weapon for QB Justin Herbert in WR Tre Harris, which will help them in the passing game.

PrizePicks’ NFL season-long game has Omarion Hampton’s projections set at 799.5 rushing yards and 6.5 rushing touchdowns. With what many believe to be an increased role in this offense, we could potentially see Omarion pass this easily if he wins over the starting job early enough.

WR Jerry Jeudy: Browns Have no Clear Starting QB

WR Jerry Jeudy is in an interesting situation in Cleveland. The Browns have some very glaring issues on offense and after passing up on star WR Travis Hunter due to trading the second pick in the draft. There are a lot of questions for this team right now.

After losing RB Nick Chubb — who is still a free agent — and being left with Jerome Ford to lead the running back room, the Browns decided to draft Quinshon Judkins, one of the most explosive playmakers in this year’s draft. While it might not seem like much due to the impact Chubb had on the team all these years, I look for the Browns to continue to try and find their identity in the run game behind Judkins.

In what seemed to be the story of the draft, Cleveland passed on B Shedeur Sanders in several rounds as did other teams. They drafted Oregon QB Dillon Gabriel in the third round, then circled back to take Sanders in the fifth round, which was one of the most puzzling moves.

Now with five quarterbacks listed on the roster — Deshaun Watson, Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Gabriel, and Sanders — it remains questioned who will win the starting job and how they plan to handle the drama applied by the organization’s decisions.

With a revolving carousel of quarterbacks, it’s reasonable to believe that it will have a negative impact on Jeudy’s 2025 season, which could be another long one for Browns fans.

Dak Prescott: Cowboys Don’t Draft WR

While the Cowboys made a solid pick in taking OG Tyler Booker with the 12th overall pick, the concerning aspect of this draft was their inability to provide Dak Prescott with a playmaker.

Outside of CeeDee Lamb, the Dallas Cowboys lack valuable options in not just the passing game but the rushing attack as well. Booker will most likely be plug and play player for this offensive line now that Zack Martin retired, but he will still take some time to develop fully.

Even with the additions of Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders this offseason, teams might not respect the running game as much as they need to in order to give receivers open space. Electing not to take a skill position on the offensive side of the ball until the fifth round in RB Jaydon Blue is concerning for the functionality of this offense.

Some could argue that on the back half of games, Prescott will be forced to throw the ball to keep them in games which will boost his value. However, many fantasy managers would’ve liked to see a secondary receiver with the ability to create space opposite of Lamb.

The Cowboys are now left with Jalen Tolbert (610 yards in 2024), KeVontae Turpin (420 yards), and 2024 sixth-round pick Ryan Fluornoy behind Lamb. They also gave up their 2025 fourth-round pick for Jonathan Mingo, which returned a total of five catches 46 yards in the final eight games of 2024, as he has fallen behind on the depth chart.

Prescott’s season-long projections are set at 3,524.5 passing yards along with 23.5 passing touchdowns on PrizePicks’ NFLSZN game.
