Today’s CBB lineup features some high-end conference showdowns and some potential court stormings (sorry Jay Bilas). 12 teams ranked in the AP Top 25 hit the hardwood today, including No. 14 Kentucky and SEC rival No. 25 Mississippi. Elsewhere, No. 20 Arizona looks to stay hot in a tough road test against BYU.

Here are the two best games to target for CBB DFS fantasy production today, Tuesday, February 4.

No. 14 Kentucky vs. No. 25 Mississippi: Preview, Pick

Time: 7 p.m. ET
How to Watch: ESPN

The Kentucky Wildcats (15-6, 4-4) head down to Oxford, Miss., to take on SEC foe No. 25 Mississippi Rebels (16-6, 5-4).

Kentucky lost Saturday night’s highly anticipated game featuring the return of former head coach John Calipari and his Arkansas Razorbacks, many of whom were once Kentucky players or recruits. The loss continued to raise questions about Kentucky’s sieve of a defense, which allowed an Arkansas team that had only reached 70 points once in conference play to score 89 points.

Meanwhile, Ole Miss has flown under the radar in a loaded SEC. Since defeating No. 3 Alabama in Tuscaloosa by 10 a few weeks ago, Ole Miss has lost four of its last five, including a home game against No. 1 Auburn on Saturday. According to the March Madness bracketology aggregator Bracket Matrix, the Rebels are projected to be safely in the tournament field as a No. 5 seed. With four of their next five games on the road, however, it would be in the Rebels’ best interest to continue stacking wins.

One major factor that could determine the outcome of this game — which KenPom projects to be one of the highest scoring games of the night — is rebounding. Ole Miss is just 305th in the country in rebounding percentage (48.1%), which makes sense given its height disadvantage in almost every matchup. According to KenPom, Ole Miss is the 329th tallest team in the country. This slots the Rebels below every Power Four, Big East and Mountain West team.

The tallest players who play consistent minutes for the Rebels are key contributors Jaemyn Brakefield (6-foot-8) and Malik Dia (6-foot-9). One of those two will be matched up on Kentucky fifth-year big man Amari Williams. The 7-foot British center easily greened out for us on Saturday when he destroyed his combined points and rebounds projection by 13.5.

We have our eye on Williams’ combined points and rebounds again tonight, which is currently at 22.5. Williams has exceeded this mark in three of his last four games and has really stepped up offensively in the absence of guard Lamont Butler.

If Kentucky commits to using its size advantage, look for Williams to capitalize on Ole Miss’ vertically-challenged interior players. Let’s run it back!

CBB PrizePicks Pick: Kentucky C Amari Williams 22.5 Pts+Rebs — More

No. 20 Arizona vs. BYU: Preview, Pick

Time: 11 p.m. ET
How to Watch: ESPN

The red-hot No. 20 Arizona Wildcats (15-6, 9-1) travel to scenic Provo, Utah, to take on the BYU Cougars (15-6, 6-4) late Tuesday night.

Arizona struggled out of the gate against a very difficult slate of opponents; Wisconsin, Duke, Oklahoma, West Virginia and UCLA are all currently projected to make March Madness this season. The 4-5 start was by far the worst of head coach Tommy Lloyd’s career in Tucson, but the Wildcats have since reeled off 11 wins in 12 games. The biggest win came last week: a thrilling overtime victory over then-No. 3 Iowa State.

Last week was headlined by fifth-year guard and human-roller coaster Caleb Love. Love struggled for most of regulation against Iowa State, drained a half-court shot to force overtime, hit two more 3-pointers in overtime, dropped 27 on rival Arizona State, got into a fight with two of its players in the final minute of the game, drew criticism from the opposing head coach, and then topped off the week by winning Big 12 Player of the Week. This is The Caleb Love Experience™.

BYU enters the game on a four-game winning streak of their own, headlined by a nice win over Baylor at home. Led by first-year coach and former Phoenix Suns assistant Kevin Young, the Cougars are a balanced offensive team. The squad is led by junior Richie Saunders (15.4 points per game), NBA prospect Egor Demin (10.7 PPG, 5.9 assists per game), and emerging freshman Kanon Catchings (9.0 PPG), who is also the nephew of WNBA legend Tamika Catchings.

One major key to this game will be BYU’s ability to contain Love and fellow streaky shooter Anthony Dell’Orso behind the arc. While the Wildcats aren’t shooting the lights out from 3-point range this season — just 32.6%, 253rd in the country — they run a quick transition offense and are very efficient on that end of the floor.

The reason for concern: a jarring 39% of points scored on BYU come from 3-pointers, which is the 10th most in the country. The Wildcats should look to exploit this tonight.

Love has been one of the streakiest shooters in the country for the past five years. He’s sold me countless times before, but shooters shoot and he’s on a heater; he’s made eight of his last 12 3-pointers since the crazy half-court shot.

You genuinely never know what you are going to get from Love, but I can assure you you are going to be entertained regardless. I’ll let it ride tonight in what should be a great late night game… and honestly feel free to sprinkle his 4.5 3-pointers made Demon pick in some Lineups if you’re feeling frisky.

CBB DFS Picks Today for PrizePicks

Here are three CBB DFS picks to put into your PrizePicks CBB Lineups for today, Tuesday, February 4.

Purdue F Trey Kaufman-Renn 18.5 Points — More

CBB DFS Picks for PrizePicks Today - Trey Kaufman-Renn

With back-to-back Naismith College Player of the Year winner Zach Edey now in the NBA, Trey Kaufman-Renn has settled in as the next dominant inside scorer for the Boilermakers. Kaufman-Renn has scored more than 18.5 points in four of his last five games, all against decent-to-good defensive teams. Enter Iowa.

Listen, Iowa basketball is not Iowa football. It’s low-key the opposite; all offense, zero defense. One of the craziest things you’ll ever see.

The Hawkeyes enter tonight with the 153rd ranked defense, according to KenPom. That is far and away the worst in the Big Ten, and the Hawkeyes will also be without last season’s co-Big Ten Freshman of the Year winner Owen Freeman. The sophomore big is out for the season with a broken finger, meaning the lane should be even more open than usual.

Expect the Boilermakers to work it into Kaufman-Renn early and often in the house that Caitlin Clark built.

Wisconsin G John Tonje 1.5 3-Pt Made (Goblin) — More

CBB DFS Picks for PrizePicks Today - John Tonje

Wisconsin G John Tonje continued his Steph-esque shooting in Saturday’s win at Northwestern. The star graduate transfer dropped another five 3-pointers in the win, bringing his total to 21 3-pointers and 25 points per game in his last four games.

The crazy thing is that most of these threes were legitimately well-contested by a solid Wildcat defense. I know we just made this pick over the weekend, but this dude is on one right now; let’s keep riding with him until he isn’t.

I also like the value of the 2.5 3-pointers made Demon pick if you want to spice up your Lineup for a shot to make some extra paper.

Michigan State G Jaden Akins 12.5 Points —  Less

CBB DFS Picks for PrizePicks Today - Jaden Akins

Michigan State is one of the best teams in the country. The key to the Spartans’ success: Hall of Fame coach Tom Izzo’s use of a true 10-man rotation, meaning they ride the hot hand every night.

Spartans senior leader Jaden Akins has struggled with his shot over the last six games, shooting just 34.2% from the field. UCLA has a trio of physical guards in senior Kobe Johnson, sophomore sixth-man Sebastian Mack, and Skyy Clark, whom they can throw at Akins on the defensive end.

The Spartans have a number of guards they can counter with for some scoring production if the senior’s shot is not falling early. Look to fade Akins — and most of the higher point projections in this game — in what should be a low-scoring battle between two of the top defenses in the country.
