Time: 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff
Location: Bryant-Denny Stadium, Tuscaloosa. Ala.
TV: ABC/ESPN+
Georgia wants to reverse the curse against Bama; they have lost eight of their last nine and haven’t won in Tuscaloosa since 2007. This has all happened with Nick Saban as head coach, but now new Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer gets his first taste of this rivalry.
DeBoer was in the National Championship game last year with Washington, so he knows what a big game feels like, but he’s never experienced an SEC rivalry.
This game pits two of the top preseason Heisman Trophy favorites against each other in Bama QB Jalen Milroe and Georgia QB Carson Beck. It’s must-watch TV.
Georgia vs. Alabama Picks for PrizePicks
- Alabama WR Ryan Williams 49.5 Receiving Yards — MORE
- Alabama QB Jalen Milroe 24.5 Rushing Yards — MORE (Goblin Pick)
- Georgia QB Carson Beck 274.5 Passing Yards — MORE (Demon Pick)
- Georgia RB Trevor Etienne 69.5 Rushing Yards — LESS
Alabama WR Ryan Williams 49.5 Receiving Yards — MORE
True freshman Ryan Williams has had a great start to his college career. He’s been showing a remarkable ability to gain separation and break tackles, which is why he’s leading the team with ten catches for 285 yards and four touchdowns.
Williams will be one of the critical factors against a Georgia pass defense who has been shut down to this point. The Bulldogs’ 91.3 passing yards per game leads the nation and their 7.4 yards per pass completion is third. But these Bama receivers pose a bigger threat than the likes of Kentucky and Tennesse Tech.
The Tide cannot be one-dimensional because the Bulldogs won’t be. They need to air it out and get Williams the ball.
Many of his receiving yards have come in large chunks, so he may not have a huge stat line, but this total is moderate enough to where it can go over with even a bit of volume.
If the Bulldogs keep it close, Alabama QB Jalen Milroe should continue to look downfield in Williams’ direction for all four quarters.
Note: Goblin picks reduce your payout on PrizePicks, as they are easier projections to hit.

Alabama QB Jalen Milroe 24.5 Rushing Yards — MORE (Goblin Pick)
Bama QB Jalen Milroe has had an exceptional season, as his 213.3 passing efficiency is third in the FBS.
What makes him so good is that he’s smart with the ball; he hasn’t thrown an interception, has a 67.3% completion rate, and averages 11.3 yards per completion.
We’ll look at the rushing prop because while Georgia is an elite passing defense, it has been a little more susceptible against the run. Their 78.0 PFF run defense grade is 58th, and in their last game against Kentucky, they allowed 170 rushing yards, including 26 yards to QB Brock Vandagriff.
Milroe must pose a run threat if he wants to open up the pass.
Milroe has reached this rushing number in 11 of his last 15 games, including last year’s matchup with Georgia, where he rushed for 29 yards on 14 carries in the SEC Championship win.
Georgia QB Carson Beck 274.5 Passing Yards — MORE (Demon Pick)
QB Carson Beck and Georgia squeaked by an unranked Kentucky on the road two weeks ago. It wasn’t pretty, but Beck has been spectacular up to that game, including 278 yards and two touchdowns against Clemson.
You have to trust the Bulldogs when they have two weeks to prepare for the biggest game of the regular season. Alabama has fantastic stats on the season, but they haven’t seen an offense like Georgia’s yet.
Alabama’s secondary is inexperienced, which could benefit Beck; of the 12 defensive backs, nine are either transfers or true freshmen. There is a difference between a quarterback from a Group of Five program and a potential Heisman Trophy winner.
Beck can pick apart this Alabama secondary and open up the offense.
Note: Demon picks add a payout boost to your Lineup on PrizePicks, as they are more difficult projections to hit.

Georgia RB Trevor Etienne 69.5 Rushing Yards — LESS
Opening up the Georgia offense all starts with Georgia RB Trevor Etienne. After missing the first game and being limited against Tennessee Tech, the Florida transfer was the feature back against Kentucky.
Etienne quickly established himself over Nate Frazier by carrying the ball 19 times for 79 yards.
We are used to seeing Alabama as one of the top run defenses, especially with the defensive linemen they’ve delivered to the NFL. That hasn’t quite been the case this season, as they rank 68th in rushing yards allowed per game (132.2). That included a heavy ground game from USF QB Byrum Brown and a South Florida offense that elects to use run option and QB-run designs.
That’s not Georgia, as they run a pro-style offense, and will lean on Beck to move the ball.
Alabama is still the 7th in the nation in rush defense EPA despite the struggles against USF. Due to some weaknesses of the Alabama secondary, don’t expect Etienne to get as many rushing attempts in this spot; he’ll likely go less than this rushing yards number.
