LNG Esports vs. Weibo Gaming
Date: Thursday, October 17, 2024
Time: 8 a.m. ET
How to Watch: The Esports Lab
LNG Lineup
Stats represent averages over the last 10 maps (or games), via The Esports Lab.
Zika — 4.6 kills / 2.2 deaths / 6.1 assists
Weiwei — 1.4 kills / 2.7 deaths / 10.7 assists
Scout — 5.7 kills / 1.8 deaths / 6.3 assists
GALA — 5.1 kills / 1.4 deaths / 7.1 assists
Hang — 0.6 kills / 3.4 deaths / 11.5 assists
Weibo Gaming Lineup
Stats represent averages over the last 10 maps (or games), via The Esports Lab.
Breathe — 4 kills / 2.2 deaths / 5.9 assists
Tarzan — 1.4 kills / 2.7 deaths / 9.6 assists
Xiaohu — 3.3 kills / 2 deaths / 7.7 assists
Light — 5.5 kills / 1.3 deaths / 5.1 assists
Crisp — 0.3 kills / 3.4 deaths / 10.7 assists
Prediction: LNG over Weibo, 3-1
This is two of China’s best LoL teams going head-to-head in the quarterfinals.
LNG looks like the favorite here just based on recent form, as they coasted through the Swiss Stage without dropping a single map. In LPL Summer Playoffs, Weibo won a 3-2 series over LNG. But soon after in the Regional Finals, LNG bodied Weibo, taking the match 3-0.
While this isn’t likely to be another 3-0 sweep, LNG is in great form and they’re hard to pick against right now.
Bilibili Gaming vs. Hanwha Life Esports
Date: Friday, October 18, 2024
Time: 8 a.m. ET
How to Watch: The Esports Lab
Bilibili Gaming Lineup
Stats represent averages over the last 10 maps (or games), via The Esports Lab.
Bin — 3.9 kills / 2.4 deaths / 5.6 assists
Xun — 2.3 kills / 2.9 deaths / 9 assists
knight — 5.9 kills / 2.4 deaths / 7.5 assists
elk — 5.5 kills / 2.3 deaths / 7.4 assists
ON — 0.5 kills / 4.6 deaths / 12 assists
Hanwha Life Lineup
Stats represent averages over the last 10 maps (or games), via The Esports Lab.
Doran — 2.8 kills / 2.1 deaths / 5.6 assists
Peanut — 1.7 kills / 3 deaths / 10.3 assists
Zeka — 4.2 kills / 2.4 deaths / 5.8 assists
Viper — 5.5 kills / 1.6 deaths / 4.8 assists
Delight — 0.4 kills / 2.9 deaths / 10.5 assists
Prediction: Hanwha Life over Bilbili, 3-2
In what is likely to be the best match of the weekend, we have the top team from China up against the top team from Korea. Bilibili dropped maps to LNG and T1 in Swiss Stage, then dropped another map to G2 in their qualifying match.
On the other hand, Hanwha Life dropped a map to FlyQuest — the worst remaining team in Worlds, though they did play a tight match against Gen.G, considered the favorite to take the title.
I’m giving Hanwha Life the slight edge here, as they were impressive against Gen.G. But their play is inconsistent, as seen in the FlyQuest series. That could leave the door open for Bilibili. Regardless, expect plenty of close maps in this matchup, so it should be an exciting one for LoL esports fans.

Top Esports vs. T1
Date: Saturday, October 18, 2024
Time: 8 a.m. ET
How to Watch: The Esports Lab
Top Esports Lineup
Stats represent averages over the last 10 maps (or games), via The Esports Lab.
369 — 2.6 kills / 2.6 deaths / 4.2 assists
Tian — 2.2 kills / 2.5 deaths / 7.9 assists
Creme — 3.3 kills / 2.2 deaths / 5.3 assists
JackeyLove — 4.6 kills / 2.9 deaths / 5.5 assists
Meiko — 0.6 kills / 3.9 deaths / 10.1 assists
T1 Lineup
Stats represent averages over the last 10 maps (or games), via The Esports Lab.
Zeus — 2.7 kills / 2.6 deaths / 4.8 assists
Oner — 2.2 kills / 2.1 deaths / 7.6 assists
Faker — 3.1 kills / 2.5 deaths / 3.9 assists
Gumayusi —3 kills / 2.2 deaths / 5.6 assists
Keria — 1.2 kills / 2.2 deaths / 8.2 assists
Prediction: T1 over Top, 3-1
We’ve got another very close matchup between two familiar teams in Top Esports and T1. Most recently, T1’s only loss in Swiss Stage was in a tight match to Top Esports. T1 started hot, then fell apart later in the game, with incredible team fights led by Tian and JackeyLove to secure the W.
Before that, T1 defeated Top Esports at the Esports World Cup, 3-1. While the most recent data point is valuable, T1 looked like the better team by a wide margin early in that single map. With some strategic adjustments, they’ll come out on top here, especially with the current meta in their favor.
FlyQuest vs. Gen.G
Date: Sunday, October 20, 2024
Time: 8 a.m. ET
How to Watch: The Esports Lab
FlyQuest Lineup
Stats represent averages over the last 10 maps (or games), via The Esports Lab.
Bwipo — 2.6 kills / 3.9 deaths / 5.2 assists
Inspired — 0.9 kills / 2.4 deaths / 9.9 assists
Quad — 4.7 kills / 1.9 deaths / 5.3 assists
Massu — 4.1 kills / 2.3 deaths / 5.7 assists
Busio — 1.4 kills / 2.5 deaths / 8.7 assists
Gen.G Lineup
Stats represent averages over the last 10 maps (or games), via The Esports Lab.
Kiin — 1.8 kills / 2.6 deaths / 7.7 assists
Canyon — 2.1 kills / 2.4 deaths / 9. 8 assists
Chovy — 5.5 kills / 1.8 deaths / 6.7 assists
Peyz — 5.7 kills / 1.6 deaths / 7.6 assists
Lehends — 0.7 kills / 3.9 deaths / 12.2 assists
Prediction: Gen.G over FlyQuest, 3-0
There’s not a lot to say about this match other than it’s a brutal out for North America’s lone remaining side, FlyQuest. Gen.G is seen as the favorite to win Worlds heading into the Knockout Stage, and it would be surprising to see them drop a map against a far inferior opponent.
