2024 NFL Christmas Games Predictions
Many things can happen between now and Christmas Day with these four teams, but let’s take a look at what to expect. All four teams will play this Saturday, December 21, on another doubleheader to ensure four days rest.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
Both teams have had remarkable seasons thus far and have clinched a playoff berth with three weeks left in the season, with the Chiefs at 13-1 and Steelers at 10-4.
Both of these teams did sustain crucial injuries that although might be temporary, could prove to be lingering. Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes didn’t finish last week’s game against the Browns, and Steelers pass rusher TJ Watt went down with an ankle injury against the Steelers. Both are expected to still play in Week 16 and on Christmas Day.
With Mahomes’ injury, the race for the No. 1 seed in the AFC could tighten as the Bills are one of the hottest teams in the league. This game has massive playoff implications, and if Mahomes injury turns out to be more significant than previously thought, the Steelers could sneak out with a win at home.
Ultimately, this game will come down to pressuring the quarterback and stopping the run. The Steelers struggled heavily against the Eagles’ defense, only managing 56 rushing yards in Week 15. Until we see how these injuries impact both teams it will be hard to see who will win; however, this game should prove exciting between two strong playoff teams.
Prediction: Chiefs 23, Steelers 20
Baltimore Ravens vs. Houston Texans
These teams have had some ups and downs all year and not nearly the amount of success that either team expected to start the year, though both will be playing Playoff football in January. Both teams in this matchup come in on a short week, as their opponents in Week 16 are playing in the other Christmas Day matchup.
Houston (9-5) has clinched a playoff berth already in the AFC South, while Baltimore (9-5) is a game back from Pittsburgh for the division lead. Either way, the Ravens are still a virtual lock to make the Playoffs.
As we get deeper into the season, it becomes more confusing as to what the identity of the Ravens is. In many games this season, the Ravens have limited RB Derrick Henry, though he could be resting to gear up for the Playoffs. The offense however has been driven by QB Lamar Jackson in the passing game, which has proven somewhat successful as he was an early MVP candidate before Bills QB Josh Allen started to run away with it.
The Texans on the other hand have beaten up on some lower tier teams over the last few weeks and look to continue their streak. Their most impressive win this season was against the Bills in Week 5, 23-20.
Many expected their offense to take a hit when WR Stefon Diggs was declared out with a torn ACL, but WRs Nico Collins and Tank Dell have stepped up in his place. This stretch to end the season should prove how impactful his injury truly was for the team.
This game should have dynamic offensive plays and be a high scoring game to close out the Christmas Day NFL slate. I look for the Texans to expose the Baltimore defense during this game with a variety of weapons including Collins and RB Joe Mixon, who has given the Texans a much more balanced attack than in 2023.
Prediction: Texans 30, Ravens 24
