Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson is on the hot seat despite saying he has “full backing” of ownership. A loss to a team that is also 1-5 and put them as frontrunners for the number one overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft would surely mean the end of Pederson — if not now, then soon.
Despite a 41-21 blowout last weekend to the Houston Texans, third-overall pick Maye impressed even with three turnovers. The rookie threw three touchdowns against one of the pass defenses in the league and had great pocket composure throughout the game.
The winner of this game looks to go take some positive momentum back to the United States.
Patriots vs. Jaguars Best Picks for NFL DFS
Here are the top PrizePicks picks for the Ravens vs. Bengals showdown at 9:30 a.m. ET in Week 7.
- Patriots QB Drake Maye 1.5 Pass TDs — More (Demon)
- Jaguars TE Evan Engram 6.5 Receiving Targets — More
- Kickers Cam Little/Joey Slye 26.5 Shortest FG Made Yards — More
Patriots QB Drake Maye 1.5 Pass TDs — More (Demon)
The Patriots face a team in Jacksonville that is one of the worst in passing yards and touchdowns allowed. The Jaguars rank at least bottom three in both categories and are the worst team in terms of passing touchdowns allowed this season.
Looking at advanced analytics, the Jaguars are 27th in defensive dropback success rate (50.2%) and last in dropback expected point added (0.321) by a long shot. This secondary is getting cooked on a regular basis.
Since Week 3, the Jaguars have allowed multiple passing touchdowns to opposing quarterbacks. The likes of Josh Allen, CJ Stroud, Joe Flacco, and Caleb Williams all had two or more passing touchdowns. Allen and Williams both had four passing touchdowns in 31 or fewer pass attempts.
It was mentioned earlier that Maye was able to throw three touchdowns against one of the more prolific pass defenses in the league in Houston. He also had a 60.6% completion percentage in his first career game, showing he can already play this level.
Maye should be able to carve up this Jaguars pass defense which was also torched last week in London.
Note: Demon picks increase your payout on PrizePicks, as they are harder projections to hit.

Jaguars TE Evan Engram 6.5 Receiving Targets — More
Jaguars TE Evan Engram returned to game action last week after a lengthy layoff with a hamstring injury. He missed about a month after picking up his hamstring injury during warmups against the Browns.
In his first game back from injury, he saw 10 targets. The Patriots allow nearly seven targets per game to opposing tight ends, which includes back-to-back games where opposing tight ends saw nine targets.
The 30-year-old is a pivotal part of the Jaguars offense as he commands lots of targets and plays through the middle of the field, where the Patriots are vulnerable.
Kickers Joey Slye + Cam Little 26.5 Shortest FG Made Yards — More
Back at it again with the unique PrizePicks squares. In my last article, I mentioned PrizePicks offered the longest field goal-made yards combo square. This time we’re taking the shortest field goal made yards square.
In their 12 combined games this season, only Cam Little has taken field goals inside the 10-yard line. Joey Slye has attempted two field goals from the 20-29-yard distance but both were outside of this 26.5-yard threshold. This means in their combined 12 games, their shortest field goal was more than 26.5 yards in 10 of them.
In a game containing two of the worst defenses in yards allowed, look for both teams to be aggressive when inside the 10-yard line to try and go for six points.
