PrizePicks Super Bowl Projections for Top Players: First Look
The Super Bowl matchup is set with the Eagles taking on the Chiefs. Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes and company will be going for their third-straight championship, something that has never been done in NFL history, while the Eagles look to avenge their loss to the Chiefs in the 2023 Super Bowl.
Let’s take an early look at some of the most noteworthy players in this matchup and their PrizePicks Super Bowl projections.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes 36 Pass Attempts
Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes attempted at least 37 passes in a game 11 times during the regular season. However, he did not attempt more than 26 passes in either of the Chiefs’ two playoff games. During their run to a championship last year, Mahomes attempted at least 39 passes in three of their four playoff games.
The Eagles led the NFL during the regular season in average time of possession per game (32 minutes), so the Chiefs might receive fewer offensive possessions than they are accustomed to in this matchup.
In addition to this projection, PrizePicks is offering Mahomes free pick on his passing yards. If Mahomes throws for one yard, he’ll cash his PrizePicks projection, making it even easier to cash your Super Bowl Lineup.

Chiefs TE Travis Kelce 63.5 Receiving Yards
After posting seven receptions for 117 yards and a touchdown against the Texans in the Divisional Round, the Bills limited Chiefs TE Travis Kelce to just two receptions for 19 yards in the AFC Championship Game.
Kelce was only targeted four times, which were his fewest targets in a game since Week 11. That Week 11 game also came against the Bills. He was targeted nine times against the Eagles last regular season and six times when these two teams faced off in the Super Bowl two years ago. Mahomes could look his way often with a championship on the line, facing a defense that just gave up 11 receptions on 16 targets for 104 yards to Commanders TE Zach Ertz.

Chiefs RB Kareem Hunt 45.5 Rush Yards
Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco has not looked the same since returning from an ankle injury that forced him to miss nine games. He averaged just 3.6 yards per carry and started to see his workload dwindle as the playoffs approached. He then received just five carries in both playoff games.
Chiefs RB Kareem Hunt played well when Pacheco was sidelined and has received more carries than Pacheco in both playoff games. He had 44 rushing yards and a touchdown on eight carries against the Texans, then rushed 17 times for 64 yards and one touchdown against the Bills.

Eagles QB Jalen Hurts 9.5 Rush Attempts
Eagles QB Jalen Hurts had 3 rushing touchdowns against the Commanders in the NFC Championship game. He received 10 total carries in the game, his most of any of the Eagles’ three playoff games, as any concerns about his knee injury were wiped away. During the regular season, he had at least 10 rushing attempts in eight of his 15 games.
When these teams met in the Super Bowl two seasons ago, Hurts turned 15 carries into 70 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Eagles RB Saquon Barkley 114.5 Rush Yards
Eagles RB Saquon Barkley had just 15 carries against the Commanders, which were his fewest rushing attempts in a game since Week 13. He was dealing with a bit of a calf injury, then didn’t play late in the game, as the Eagles had a 30-point lead.
Still, he had 118 rushing yards and three touchdowns. He has rushed for at least 118 yards in all three playoff games and he had at least 25 rushing attempts in two of them. With a championship on the line, Barkley should be busy again.

Eagles WR A.J. Brown 70.5 Receiving Yards
Eagles WR A.J. Brown was barely heard from in their first two games of the NFL Playoffs. He caught just one pass against the Packers, then had two receptions against the Rams. While he only had three targets against the Packers, he was targeted seven times against the Rams.
With eight targets against the Commanders in the NFC Championship Game, he broke out with six receptions for 96 yards and a touchdown. This won’t be an easy matchup against the Chiefs, who allowed the third-fewest yards per targets to wide receivers (7.39) in the league during the regular season.
