Villanova (19-13, 11-9 Big East) advanced to the quarterfinals after knocking off Seton Hall, 67-55, on Tuesday. The Wildcats rank second in the country in 3-point shooting at 40%. In last night’s win over Seton Hall, Villanova shot 7-of-15 from long distance.
UConn and Villanova split a pair of matchups this season as the home team won each time. In the second meeting in Connecticut, the Huskies rallied from a 14-point deficit to beat the Wildcats, 66-59.
Both these teams rank at the bottom of the conference in tempo. UConn ranks 10th and Villanova sits 11th as both matchups were low-scoring affairs.
They also are the top-two teams in Big East play in offensive efficiency as UConn is right ahead of Villanova in that category.

The regular season was capped off by an 83-76 loss at Kansas (21-11, 11-9 Big 12) last Saturday. The Jayhawks outlasted UCF on Tuesday, 98-94, in overtime as Kansas seeks its first three-game winning streak since January.
Kansas has been inconsistent this season offensively, but rank ninth in the nation in defensive efficiency.
In the last three games, Arizona has allowed opponents to shoot 47.6% from 3-point range. The Jayhawks shot 8-of-21 from downtown in last week’s win against the Wildcats.
