Gonzaga vs. No. 19 Saint Mary’s: Preview, Pick
Time: 9 p.m. ET
How to Watch: ESPN
Gonzaga (24-8, 14-4) faces No. 19 Saint Mary’s (28-4, 17-1) in Tuesday’s West Coast Conference championship game.
The Gonzaga Bulldogs have been one of the most consistent and successful programs this century. Led by 2025 Naismith Hall of Fame finalist Mark Few, the Bulldogs have made 25 straight NCAA Tournaments and nine consecutive regional semifinals.
However, this season has not been as smooth as Bulldogs fans are accustomed to. Despite being unranked in the AP Top 25, Gonzaga is No. 9 in KenPom and No. 8 in NET rankings after key late-season wins over Santa Clara and San Francisco. A win tonight could push the Bulldogs from a projected No. 8-9 seed to a No. 7, avoiding a potential second-round matchup with elite teams like Auburn, Duke or Houston.
Saint Mary’s, led by WCC Coach of the Year Randy Bennett, has quietly won 17 of its last 18 games, including two big victories over Gonzaga in February. The Gaels boast a top-15 KenPom defense for the fifth straight year and dominate the offensive glass (40.2% offensive rebounding rate, No. 2 in the country).
Currently projected as a No. 5-6 seed by Bracket Matrix, another win over Gonzaga could boost their standing even more come Selection Sunday.
Here are a few key stats to help you make your DFS picks for Tuesday’s WCC showdown on PrizePicks:
- Gonzaga G Ryan Nembhard leads the nation with 10 assists per game.
- The senior guard had eight assists Monday in the win over San Francisco, following 16 and 15 in his previous two games.
- This season, Nembhard averages 11 points and 10 assists per game against Saint Mary’s. In five career matchups with the Gaels, he has averaged 23 combined points and assists per game.
- Opposing Nembhard is Saint Mary’s senior guard Augustas Marciulionis. The Lithuanian standout averages 14.4 points and 6.1 rebounds, with a 33.3% assist rate that ranks 41st nationally, per KenPom.
- This premier mid-major showdown features a stark contrast in offensive play styles — Gonzaga plays fast (44th in adjusted tempo, per KenPom), while Saint Mary’s looks to slow the game down (359th).
- Both meetings this season played to Saint Mary’s pace, as they won 62-58 and 74-67. Those two games account for two of Gonzaga’s three lowest-scoring performances this season.
CBB PrizePicks Pick: Gonzaga G Ryan Nembhard — 8.5 Assists
Notre Dame vs. Pittsburgh: Preview, Pick
Time: 2 p.m. ET
How to Watch: ACC Network
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish (14-17, 8-12) take on the Pittsburgh Panthers (17-14, 8-12) in the first round of the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament.
Fresh off of Saturday’s thrilling 4OT win over Cal, Notre Dame secured the No. 13 seed in the ACC Tournament. The Irish have a shot at an automatic NCAA Tournament bid if they can rattle off five consecutive wins in Charlotte like last year’s North Carolina State team.
Notre Dame has shown promise under second-year head coach Micah Shrewsberry, particularly on the offensive end. The Irish rank 77th nationally in offensive efficiency, per KenPom, but their defense has been a significant issue. Notre Dame sits at 139th in KenPom adjusted defense and 214th in points allowed per game.
After a promising 12-2 start that landed them at No. 12 in KenPom and on nearly every bracketologist’s radar, Pittsburgh has fallen apart. The Panthers have lost eight of their last 11 games against a weak ACC schedule, with two of their three wins coming against bottom-tier teams Boston College (KenPom No. 185) and Miami (KenPom No. 192).
Their offensive efficiency has dropped, averaging just 66.3 points in those losses, but the team has somehow maintained the nation’s 36th-most efficient offense, per KenPom, led by Jaland Lowe (16.8 PPG) and Ish Leggett (16.1 PPG).
Lowe has carried a heavy load in recent months, and his matchup with one of the country’s top scorers, Markus Burton, could provide plenty of offensive fireworks.
Here are a few key stats to help you make your DFS picks for Tuesday’s Big Ten matchup on PrizePicks:
- Notre Dame G Markus Burton is averaging 22.2 points per game. The 5-foot-11 sophomore exploded for 43 points in Saturday’s four-overtime thriller against Cal, playing an unbelievable 53 minutes.
- Burton is the centerpiece of Notre Dame’s offense. He is involved in 33.9% of offensive possessions and takes 36.8% of the team’s shots when he’s on the floor — ranking seventh and sixth nationally, respectively.
- Burton has attempted more than 16 shots and has hit at least two 3-pointers in each of his last five games, scoring over 22 points in seven of Notre Dame’s last 10. Half of those games have come without Braeden Shrewsberry (14 PPG), who is out for the season with a lower abdomen injury.
- Pittsburgh has struggled to defend the perimeter, allowing opponents to shoot 35.1% from 3-point range — ranking in the bottom half of Division I. Meanwhile, Notre Dame is shooting 36.1% from deep, ranking 68th nationally.
CBB PrizePicks Pick: Notre Dame G Markus Burton — 22.5 Points or 1.5 3-Pt Made (Goblin)

- He hit six 3-pointers in two games against tonight’s opponent, Delaware, during the regular season.
- No. 12 seed Delaware has made a remarkable run to the CAA championship game, winning four games in four days.
- The Blue Hens’ defense has struggled this season, ranking 331st in KenPom and allowing opponents to shoot 35.9% from beyond the arc, which is among the worst in college basketball.
