Here are the top games to target for CBB DFS fantasy production today, Tuesday, March 4.

No. 1 Auburn vs. No. 22 Texas A&M: Preview, Pick

Time: 9 p.m. ET
How to Watch: ESPN

The No. 1 Auburn Tigers (27-2, 15-1) head to College Station, Tex., to take on the slumping No. 22 Texas A&M Aggies (20-9, 9-7) in a primetime SEC showdown.

We said it on Saturday and we’ll say it again: even in an absolutely loaded SEC, Auburn has been every team’s Super Bowl this season. The Tigers made a statement in their decisive 94-78 win at No. 19 Kentucky on Saturday, which marked its first victory over the Wildcats at Rupp Arena since 1988.

Naismith Player of the Year candidate Johni Broome struggled with just nine points on 3-of-9 shooting, but his teammates Miles Kelly, Tahaad Pettiford and Chad Baker-Mazara each scored 20+ points in the big win.

Auburn is the clear-cut projected No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament and — as of now — they look like the team to beat in college basketball.

No. 22 Texas A&M could use a rebound. Since peaking at No. 8 in the AP Top 25 a few weeks back, the Aggies have dropped four games in a row — albeit to four tournament-quality SEC opponents.

Texas A&M’s defense and rebounding have remained elite, but the Aggies’ 54th-ranked KenPom offense has struggled late in games. The key could be senior leader Wade Taylor IV, whose offensive efficiency has cratered over the past few weeks.

Here are a few key stats to help you make your DFS picks for Tuesday’s SEC showdown on PrizePicks:

  • Auburn is on pace to set the record for most efficient offense in KenPom history, led by senior big man Johni Broome. Broome leads the team in points (18.4), rebounds (10.8), assists (3.3) and blocks (2.4) per game.
  • Texas A&M G Wade Taylor IV has struggled with his shot over the last few weeks. Excluding a big performance against last place South Carolina, Taylor is shooting 30.9% from the field and just 24.5% from 3-point range over the last eight games.
  • Texas A&M’s defense has locked down the paint, holding opponents to 46.6% shooting on 2-pointers (30th nationally).
  • Just 39.7% of points against the Aggies come from inside the arc, the third-lowest rate in the country.
  • However, opponents have found success against the Aggies from deep. A&M’s opponents are scoring 38.5% of their points from 3-point range, which is the 13th-highest rate in the country.
  • Senior Miles Kelly scored 30 points in Saturday’s big win over Kentucky. The guard is shooting 45% from 3-point range on the road this season.
  • Senior guard Chad Baker-Mazara is shooting 43.5% from 3-point range on the road this season, making at least one 3-pointer in 13 of 16 SEC games this season.

CBB PrizePicks Pick: Auburn G Miles Kelly — 2.5 3-PT Made

Rutgers vs. No. 18 Purdue: Preview, Pick

Time: 7 p.m. ET
How to Watch: Peacock

The Rutgers Scarlet Knights (14-15, 711) last year’s national runner-up, the No. 18 Purdue Boilermakers (20-9, 12-6).

Rutgers has fallen well short of major preseason expectations that were set after the team landed two five-star recruits in Ace Bailey and Dylan Harper. The projected NBA lottery picks have been as advertised — aside from expected freshman inconsistencies — but have had a tough time staying on the court at the same time.

While they’re just 14-15 on the season, Rutgers’ season is not over. For the first time, only 15 of the 18 Big Ten teams will earn a spot in conference tournament. If the Scarlet Knights can first stay above the cutline and then win the conference tournament, they’ll receive an automatic-bid into the NCAA Tournament. With their high-end talent and recent performance (they lost at No. 17 Michigan on a buzzer-beater), this team is flying under the radar and could make some noise in the Big Ten tournament.

No. 18 Purdue ended its four-game losing streak with a comeback win over tournament-bound UCLA. The Boilermakers are pushing for a double-bye in next week’s Big Ten Tournament and hope to counter Rutgers’ potent one-two punch with its own two-man game between All-American candidates Braden Smith and Trey Kaufman-Renn.

The juniors combine to average for 35.6 points per game and will look to build off of strong bounce-back performances tonight at Mackey Arena.

Here are a few key stats to help you make your DFS picks for Tuesday’s Big Ten matchup on PrizePicks:

  • Ace Bailey is Rutgers’ volume shooter. The 6-foot-10 standout freshman has attempted double-digit shots in all but one Big Ten game this season, including 12 or more in 16-of-18 conference matchups. He has topped 30 points three times this season.
  • With two-time Naismith National Player of the Year Zach Edey now in the NBA, Purdue is struggling on the defensive interior. Purdue’s opponents are attacking the paint, shooting 56.1% from 2-point range this season, which is one of the 30 highest rates in the country.
  • PG Braden Smith is averaging 8.7 assists per game, the second highest mark in the country. Smith put up conference season-high 14 assists and 16 points in a January win at Rutgers.
  • Smith averages more than 10 assists per game over his last seven home games.
  • KenPom projects a high-scoring Big Ten battle tonight, predicting 154 total points and a 12-point Boilermakers win.

CBB PrizePicks Pick: Rutgers G Ace Bailey — 15.5 Points

  • The senior averages 19.1 points and 8.8 rebounds per game this season.
  • Seton Hall allows its opponents to shoot 53.8% from 2-point range this season, ranking in the bottom third of Division I teams (286th overall).

  • Kalkbrenner has scored 23 and 25 points in his last two games, and is averaging nearly 25 points per game in his last three games against Seton Hall.

Saint Louis C Robbie Avila — 17.5 Points

CBB DFS Picks Today for PrizePicks

  • Saint Louis C Robbie Avila has been on a heater over the last few weeks. The Indiana State transfer is averaging 23 points and 8.4 rebounds per game over his last five Atlantic 10 Conference games.
  • Avila has also topped 19 points in each of his last five games.
  • In a game earlier this season against tonight’s opponent, the Dayton Flyers, Avila struggled, scoring just four points before fouling out, but he still managed to grab 10 rebounds in the narrow defeat.
  • Outside of a three-game stretch that included that game, Avila has scored in double-digits every game this season.
  • Per KenPom, Avila is playing 77% of Saint Louis’ minutes this season and is utilized on 28% of Saint Louis’ possessions this year, which ranks 128th in the country.

Ohio State G John Mobley — 1.5 3-PT Made (Goblin)

CBB DFS Picks Today for PrizePicks
  • Ohio State will host fellow tournament-bubble team Nebraska tonight.
  • 39.6% of points scored against Nebraska come from deep, the sixth highest rate in the country.
  • The Buckeyes are shooting 37.5% from 3-point range this season, good for 25th best in the country.
  • Last month in Lincoln, Neb., freshman guard John Mobley scored 21 points and shot 5-of-10 from 3-point range against the Cornhuskers.
  • Mobley has at least two 3-pointers made in nine of his last 11 games.

Arkansas C Zvonimir Ivisic — 13.5 Points

CBB DFS Picks Today for PrizePicks

  • 7-foot-2 Zvonimir Ivisic is Arkansas’s most consistent weapon from three this season. The sophomore from Croatia makes 40.4% of his 3-point shots.
  • Vanderbilt allows opponents to shoot 37.2% from 3-point range, which ranks 343th out of 364 teams.
  • Per KenPom, Vanderbilt is the 300th tallest team in the country and the third shortest Power 5 team. Their tallest player who gets significant minutes is just 6-foot-8. Arkansas is listed as the 19th tallest team in the nation, headline by Ivisic.
  • Ivisic has scored 14 points in four of his last seven games.
