MLB DFS Picks on PrizePicks for Monday, 3/31
Here’s a look at some of the MLB DFS picks and projections to target in Monday’s MLB games for March 31 on PrizePicks.
- Giants SS Tyler Fitzgerald — 0.5 Total Bases
- Cardinals C Willson Contreras — 1.5 Hits+Runs-RBIs
- Athletics P Joey Estes — 4.0 Strikeouts
- Blue Jays P Bowden Francis — 4.5 Strikeouts
- Home Run Pick: Mariners C Cal Raleigh
Giants SS Tyler Fitzgerald — 0.5 Total Bases

San Francisco Giants SS Tyler Fitzgerald rebounded from a tough start in the Cincinnati series by delivering a pair of hits in Sunday’s win. Fitzgerald started 1-for-6 in the opening two games prior to a 2-for-6 outing on Sunday, which included two runs scored.
Fitzgerald and the Giants head to Houston to face the Astros tonight. Right-hander Ronel Blanco takes the mound, who famously threw a no-hitter against Toronto in his season debut in 2024.
Dating back to last season, Fitzgerald has failed to record a hit in 10 of the past 11 series openers, while picking up one hit in 42 at-bats.
Cardinals C Willson Contreras — 1.5 Hits+Runs+RBIs

The St. Louis Cardinals swept the Minnesota Twins at home for a 3-0 start. However, C Willson Contreras didn’t grab a single hit the entire weekend in 14 at-bats, while striking out five times.
Contreras looks to turn around his luck tonight against another AL opponent as the Los Angeles Angels invade Busch Stadium. All 14 plate appearances came against right-handed pitching, as Contreras squares off against Angels southpaw Tyler Anderson.
Last season, Contreras put together a better batting average, OPS, and slugging percentage against left-handed pitchers than right-handers.
Athletics P Joey Estes — 4.0 Strikeouts

The Athletics make their Sacramento debut tonight as they host the Chicago Cubs at Sutter Health Park. The Cubs have struck out 22 times in six games against opposing starting pitchers, including four times or less in each game against a right-hander.
Joey Estes heads to the mound tonight for the A’s, as he finished with less than three strikeouts in each of his final five outings of 2024. In one start at Wrigley Field last September, Estes recorded only one strikeout and allowed six runs in one inning of work.

Blue Jays P Bowden Francis — 4.5 Strikeouts

In seven of his final nine starts of 2024, Blue Jays P Bowden Francis recorded five strikeouts or more. Francis went through a four-start stretch last August allowing five hits and two runs, while striking out 35 batters.
Toronto hosts Washington tonight as the Nationals lead MLB with 27 strikeouts against opposing starting pitchers. The Nationals ranked eighth in MLB last season in total K’s against starting pitchers. However, they have already struck out eight times apiece against Philadelphia right-handers Zack Wheeler and Aaron Nola.
Home Run Pick: Mariners C Cal Raleigh

It was a rough hitting weekend for several catchers. We noted above the struggles of Willson Contreras, but Mariners C Cal Raleigh also couldn’t get it going at the plate.
Raleigh finished 1-for-12 in the four-game series against the Athletics. The Seattle backstop seeks his first home run of the season after drilling a career-high 34 last season. In the past two seasons, 47 of his 64 home runs have come against right-handed pitching as he faces Detroit’s Jackson Jobe tonight.
Jobe has not allowed a home run in his short career, although he pitched a shade under six innings in 2024. Detroit’s pitching staff has allowed nine home runs this season, albeit against the defending World Series champion Dodgers.
Note: Demon picks increase your payout on PrizePicks, as they are harder projections to hit.
