This NFC Showdown features the Seattle Seahawks, who are second in the NFC West and are hoping to still be able to win the division if they can win out. Their opponent, the Chicago Bears, have been eliminated and are currently on a nine-game losing streak, but they come into this game as slight underdogs at home.
The Seahawks have a 14% chance of making the playoffs before this game. They would need the Rams to lose in order to have a possibility of making the playoffs. If they are able to win and the Rams lose to the Cardinals, the winner of their Week 18 matchup would advance to the playoffs and host a playoff game. If the Rams win, they still have a path to get to the Playoffs, but it relies on strength of victory.
With playoff hopes on the line, expect a lot of intensity and many ways that you can cash in on PrizePicks. Let’s get into the top picks.
Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba 74.5 Receiving Yards — More
Jaxon Smith-Njigba has been the most dynamic weapon on this Seattle offense. On 93 receptions, which is seventh in the league, he has managed 1,089 receiving yards. The second-year wide receiver is fifth amongst all pass catchers in receiving yards on the season.
Smith-Njigba has become a first-read on many of the Seahawks passing plays. Over the last two weeks, he has 12 targets in each game.
In regards, to the matchup, the Bears secondary is one of the worst in the league, ranking dead last in defensive dropback success rate (53.5%) since Week 12, and 30th in opponent’s dropback Expected Points Added (.331). Some recent WR lines against the Bears include: Lions WR Jameson Williams 5-143-1, Vikings WR Justin Jefferson 7-73-1, 49ers WR Jauan Jennings 7-90-2, and Vikings WR Jordan Addison 8-162-1.
JSN has also cashed this projection in six of his last seven games, averaging just over 100 yards per game in that span as he becomes a larger part of the offense. Going up against a defense that allows the 12th most passing yards, Smith- Njigba should be well on his way to cashing this projection.
Bears TE Cole Kmet 3 Receiving Targets — Less
Bears TE Cole Kmet has found himself constantly struggling to get targeted in a stagnant Bears offense. Kmet has had just 53 receiving targets in the Bears’ 15 games played, a 3.53 per game average.
The problem with this average is they are heavily skewed by two games in which Kmet had 10 and 11 targets. Excluding both of those games, Kmet has only been targeted 32 times in 13 games, averaging a measly 2.46 targets. He has less than 3 targets in three straight games.
The Bears’ offense is also 31st in total offense. Being surrounded by weapons in Keenan Allen, D.J. Moore, D’Andre Swift, and others, Kmet will once again find himself with a lack of receiving targets.

TD Scorer Pick: Seahawks RB Zach Charbonnet (Goblin)
The Bears defense allows the seventh-most rushing yards and the ninth-most rushing touchdowns to opposing offenses. This matchup is a perfect fit for Seattle running backs. With Kenneth Walker III out with an ankle injury, Charbonnet should see a significant increase in volume on the ground.
Combined with an increase in rushing attempts, Charbonnet has solidified as a valid option through the air. The Bears rank seventh in pressure percentage, with a 24.9% rate. Look for Smith to check down to Charbonnet as Chicago should send a lot of pressure to make Smith uncomfortable.
In two games without Walker this season, Charbonnet has three touchdowns on 30 carries, and added another 71 yards receiving on 11 targets.
Whether it is through the air or on the ground, the matchup and increase in volume should prove enough for Charbonnet to find the end zone tonight.
Note: Goblin picks decrease your payout on PrizePicks, as they are easier projections to hit.
TNF Game Prediction: Seahawks 27, Bears 10
This matchup doesn't seem competitive in a lot of people’s eyes. The Seahawks have played pretty well this season despite their last two losses coming against NFC powerhouses in the Packers and Vikings. The Bears on the other hand have not shown any promise over the course of their nine-game losing streak, and this week shouldn’t be any different.
Although their defense is above average in points allowed, it has stumbled since the firing of head coach Matt Eberflus after the Thanksgiving loss, and the offense has not had the consistency to be competitive this season. In the last three weeks, teams have averaged 34 points per game against this defense.
Look for the Seahawks to move the ball down the field with ease and for the Bears offense to struggle against a solid Seahawks defense. The Bears will likely run their offense through Swift once again, but it will become too large of a lead in the second half to stay on the ground.
If the Bears want a chance to win, they will have to send pressure at Geno Smith in hopes of forcing errant throws and causing turnovers. The Chicago Bears will likely lose yet again and the Seahawks will hope they go into next week tied with their division rivals for a playoff spot.
