Unrivaled Cheat Sheet: Picks & Predictions for Unrivaled, Monday 1/20
The third set of games of the Unrivaled Basketball League is set to kick off Monday night featuring a pair of 1-0 teams facing off against a pair of 0-1 teams. Below, in the PrizePicks Cheat Sheet, we’ll give you the top Unrivaled picks and predictions for PrizePicks for the Monday, January 20, games, including player projections to target.
Vinyl BC kicks off the slate facing off against Phantom BC. Phantom BC played without Marina Mabrey for a majority of the game, and the team desperately missed her shooting ability with Sabrina Ionescu being their lone main threat from the perimeter.
It was Ionescu’s first game off of hand surgery that she received after the WNBA Finals, so she will need some time to get into game form. Her Oregon and Phantom teammate Satou Sabally, also severely struggled from the field and had foul trouble throughout the game, making it hard for them to get into rhythm.
Vinyl BC were able to hold off Rose BC, 79-73, thanks to a 32-point night from Rhyne Howard. The Vinyl have a nice team of shooters with Howard and Arike Ogounbowale followed by the added experience of Dearica Hamby who played on the US 3x3 Olympic Team with Howard.
In the second game of the night, co-founder Breanna Stewart and Mist BC take on Laces BC. It was only their first game of the season, but the Laces put the league on notice with their dominant performance over Phantom BC, winning 86-48. The Laces also did this without Jackie Young.
The Mist on the other hand are looking to shake off a disappointing end to the game, losing 84-80 to the Lunar Owls after getting outscored 17-7 in the untimed fourth quarter.

Unrivaled DFS Picks Today for PrizePicks
Below, you’ll find the top Unrivaled DFS picks today for PrizePicks for Monday, January 20.
Phantom F Satou Sabally vs. Vinyl: 19.5 Points — More
Their opening game of the season was a nightmare for Phantom BC, and it was particularly a bad day if you were Satou Sabally. 4-of-14 from the field and four personal fouls in what is a shortened game is not necessarily how to make your debut.
With all things considered, she still finished with 11 points despite the inefficient shooting and against a Laces team that effectively could switch any defender on to her. Against the Vinyl, this should theoretically be a better matchup for her.
She’ll have the size advantage in the starting lineup against her Dallas Wings teammate Arike Ogunbowale and perhaps may have the advantage if their team decides to make changes to the starting lineups after starting two bigs, Sabally and Griner, in their last game.

Vinyl G Rhyne Howard vs. Phantom: 20.5 Points — More
Rhyne Howard had quite the memorable league debut for the Vinyl on Friday night, scoring 33 points on very efficient 10-of-19 shooting and 6-of-12 from three. Howard saw the most minutes on the court and should be the key factor to the team again.
While we cannot expect amazing shooting nights like that every night, she does draw the weakest defender in the Phantom lineup in Sabrina Ionescu. As mentioned earlier, Sabrina is still ramping up after hand surgery so she might not be as up to speed as the other players, so that is something Howard should look to take advantage of.
Howard’s 3x3 experience last year has proven fruitful to the team, another reason why she is seeing the most minutes.
Mist G Rickea Jackson vs. Laces: 11.5 Points — More
Despite not being one of the starters, Rickea Jackson was tied for the most minutes in the game along with starter Jewell Loyd. If this is a sign of things to come, Jackson will be the first substitute off the bench coming in for Courtney Vandersloot.
Jackson will not only be seeing “starter minutes” but she will also be the team’s firepower off the bench which she provided plenty of. She cleared this projection against the Lunar Owls in 12 minutes of action on Friday night, finishing with 15 points.
Laces G Tiffany Hayes vs. Mist: 15.5 Points — Less
The Laces are projected to run their same starting lineup of Alyssa Thomas, Kayla McBride, and Stefanie Dolson against the Mist after Jackie Young was ruled out. With that being said, the Laces ran their starters the most minutes along with the Phantom and should expect the same again tonight.
The whole Laces team shot lights out against a scattered Phantom team, shooting nearly 57 percent from the floor and 45 percent from three. Hayes herself was 6-of-14 with 14 points in 14 minutes. The Laces blew the Phantom off the floor, and this game should be closer with a Mist team who are much better defensively.

The Unrivaled league got off to an amazing start with a comeback win for the Lunar Owls over the Mist followed by a tightly-contested game between Rose and Vinyl BC. The Laces made their mark without Jackie Young and will be the team to beat even if they are down a player, while the Phantom look to put behind the worst performance of the weekend behind them.
