Unrivaled Picks & Predictions for PrizePicks: Monday 1/27
The second week of the Unrivaled Basketball League will come to a close on Monday with two more games closing out the slate. The Vinyl take on the Lunar Owls in a matchup of two winning teams at 7:30 p.m. ET, while the night caps off with the unbeaten Laces taking on Rose BC at 8:30 p.m., with both games on TNT.
Below, we’ll give you the top Unrivaled PrizePicks picks and predictions for Monday’s games, including four of the best player projections to add to your PrizePicks Lineups.
The Vinyl’s only loss in the early season has come at the hand of Laces BC, but of their three games, they were the only one to keep the Laces remotely close, losing by four points. The Vinyl’s 3x3 experience is showing, with Paris Olympic bronze medalists Dearica Hamby and Rhyne Howard in the starting lineup. Plus the firepower of Arike Ogunbowale in their starting lineup doesn’t hurt at all.
The Lunar Owls are one of two unbeaten teams left in Unrivaled, led by star forward Napheesa Collier. She is the current league leader in points at 31.7 per game and is thriving in this format of basketball. This five-player team has been difficult to stop with Skylar Diggins-Smith, Allisha Gray, and Courtney Williams.
Rose BC finally picked up their first win in the league after defeating the Mist, 71-66. Chelsea Gray delivered in clutch time with 9 points in the untimed fourth quarter to deny Breanna Stewart’s club their first win of the season. Despite not starting, Azura Stevens has been a key contributor to this team as their third-highest scorer at 13 points per game.
Laces are the league’s other unbeaten team and similarly to the Lunar Owls, have looked quite dominant. Their team build is the most diverse with players who can switch on to any defender, and all but one player who can bring the ball up and shoot threes. This team is still missing star point guard Jackie Young as well.

Below, you’ll find the top Unrivaled DFS picks today for PrizePicks for Monday, January 27.
Vinyl F Dearica Hamby vs. Lunar Owls: 16.5 Points — Less
Dearica Hamby has already been one of the best players in the league this season all-around, averaging 19 points, nearly 9 rebounds, and over steals a game. This time, however, she will get her toughest matchup to date going up against Napheesa Collier.
Collier, the WNBA’s Defensive Player of the Year, has lived up to her billing as that even in 3x3. As a primary defender, she’s held her opponents to just over 12 points per game. Her opponents have been no pushovers either, guarding Breanna Stewart, Angel Reese, and Satou Sabally.
In these games, Collier has been able to keep the opposing team's best big in check while their teammates were able to get their share of points. Look for that to be the case again with the likes of Rhyne Howard and Arike Ogunbowale on the perimeter.
Lunar Owls G Allisha Gray vs. Vinyl: 17.5 Points — More
While teammate Napheesa Collier has been the talk of the league by averaging more than 30 points per game, Allisha Gray has done well herself, averaging 19 in these first few games. While she hasn’t been the most efficient in two of her three games, she has been getting to the foul line at least a couple of times a game which are worth anywhere between 2-6 points depending on when she has been fouled.
This matchup contains the two highest-scoring teams in the league, so there could be fireworks in this game tonight. Secondary guards have gone for more than 20 twice against the Vinyl this season already with Tiffany Hayes and Kahleah Copper both going for 24+.
With Gray also potentially going up against her Atlanta Dream teammate Rhyne Howard, she will want to put on a strong performance.

Rose F Azura Stevens vs. Laces: 9.5 Points — More
Stevens has quietly been one of the best players on the Rose this season, being a key contributor off the bench with 13 points per game. With the news that the Laces will be missing Alyssa Thomas, Stevens will likely draw Stefanie Dolson most of the game as the two bigs who come off of the bench.
Stevens has proven pivotal for Rose BC so far with her contributions and provides much more versatility in her offense than fellow forward Angel Reese. Look for Stevens to go more than this number as she has been in recent games in softer defensive matchup.
Laces F Kayla McBride vs. Rose: 23.5 Points — More
After star guard Alyssa Thomas was ruled out, things changed a bit for the Laces. Natisha Hiedeman was re-assigned to them after playing for the Phantom last time out. With Hiedeman coming in and Jackie Young still out, that will likely put Tiffany Hayes in more of a primary ballhandling and playmaking duty.
That should free up Kayla McBride to be the player on the Laces who gets the most shots up. McBride is the second-leading scorer in the league at just under 24 points per game and has gotten up over 18 shots per game. With Thomas out, that is nearly 15 points per game missing from this Laces roster that needs to be replaced. McBride should be the one getting a bulk of those opportunities tonight.
