Chicago Bears vs. Detroit Lions
Time: 12:30 p.m. ET
Location: Ford Field, Detroit, Mich.
How to Watch: CBS
This will mark the third-straight divisional game for the Bears. The first two didn’t go well, though rookie QB Caleb Williams has put up impressive numbers. In Week 11, they lost by one point to the Packers at home. They followed that up with an overtime loss to the Vikings at home on Sunday. They have lost five games in a row to fall to 4-7 this season.
The Lions are the hottest team in football after having won nine straight games. Their only loss this season was a four-point defeat at the hands of the Buccaneers. The Lions have a +177 point differential, which is the best mark in the league, led by QB Jared Goff’s incredibly efficient passing. The team with the next best mark is the Bills at +106.
In terms of significant injuries for this game, Lions RB David Montgomery is the most notable one for either team. He left Week 12 against the Colts with a shoulder injury after receiving a season-low eight carries. He said immediately after the game that he intends to play Thursday. If he were unable to play, then Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs would be in line for a hefty workload. Regardless if Montgomery takes the field or not, the Lions should be able to win this game handedly against an inferior foe.
Prediction: Lions 27, Bears 17

New York Giants vs. Dallas Cowboys
Time: 4:30 p.m. ET
Location: AT&T Stadium, Arlington, Tex.
How to Watch: FOX
This has the makings of the worst of the three games. The Giants were dismantled by the Buccaneers on Sunday and sit at the bottom of the NFC East with a 2-9 record. At least the Cowboys have positive vibes around them after upsetting the Commanders on Sunday. However, they are still just 4-7 and will finish out the season without QB Dak Prescott (hamstring) under center, though Cooper Rush has filled in quite well so far.
As bad as things are for the Cowboys right now, the Giants are a mess on a completely different level. Not only did they bench QB Daniel Jones last week, but he was ultimately released. Giants QB Tommy DeVito didn’t throw a touchdown pass in his first start of the season last week and only passed for 189 yards.
The Giants are again dealing with injuries on their offensive line and are now starting a quarterback who already takes too many sacks. It’s difficult to envision the Giants winning on the road on a short week given all of the turmoil that is currently around them.
Prediction: Cowboys 24, Giants 13
Miami Dolphins vs. Green Bay Packers
Time: 8:20 p.m. ET
Location: Lambeau Field, Green Bay, Wisc.
How to Watch: NBC, Peacock (streaming)
This game comes with significant playoff implications. After dispatching the Brock Purdy-less 49ers with ease Sunday, the Packers have won three games in a row to improve their record to 8-3. As good as that is, that still has them in just third place in the competitive NFC North. Following this matchup with the Dolphins will be a battle with the Lions in Detroit in Week 14.
The Dolphins have rattled off three straight wins of their own to improve to 5-6, and are fully back on track after QB Tua Tagovailoa returned from his concussion. They aren’t catching the Bills in the AFC East, but a win Thursday would keep them in the hunt for a Wild Card spot, which will be a tough race, as the Chargers, Ravens, and Broncos all have seven wins ahead of them.
Since Tagovailoa has returned, he has thrown for 1,277 yards, 11 touchdowns, and just one interception over five games.
As good as the Dolphins are playing right now, pulling out this victory will be difficult. Not only do the Packers have the advantage of being the home team on a short week, but they just played at home Sunday, so they won’t need to travel at all. The Packers have lost two home games this season, but they came against two of the best teams in the league in the Vikings and Lions.
Look for the Packers to take care of business at home and deal the Dolphins what could be a crushing blow in terms of their playoff hopes.
Prediction: Packers 27, Dolphins 20
