NRFI: Zack Wheeler + Frankie Montas 0.5 1st Inning Runs Allowed — LESS
Time: 7:40 p.m. ET
Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Zack Wheeler has been impressive this season, boasting a 25-4 NRFI (No Run First Inning) record — or 25-of-29 starts with a scoreless first inning.Wheeler also has one of the best road NRFI splits, with a 10-3 NRFI record this season.
Since last season, Wheeler has gone 25-7 to the NRFI on the road firmly placing him at the top when it comes to obtaining a NRFI on the road.
On the other side of this NRFI matchup is newly acquired Brewers pitcher Frankie Montas. This season, Montas holds a solid 23-6 NRFI record, including a 9-3 home NRFI split.
Despite the Phillies being one of the stronger hitting lineups in baseball, they have a 70% NRFI success rate on the road, standing at 60 scoreless first innings this year.
A simple six outs will be easy for these two pitchers when considering their strong NRFI records.

Dodgers P Bobby Miller 16.5 Outs — LESS
Time: 6:40 p.m. ET
Dodgers pitcher Bobby Miller has had an up-and-down season due to injuries and pitch count limitations. He has failed to surpass his projected 16.5 outs in 8 of his 12 starts this year, with his struggles magnified on the road, where he has missed this projection in 7 of his last 10 road starts.
The Dodgers are already monitoring Miller's workload as the MLB Playoffs near. Now, he’s facing a Miami Marlins team that ranks as one of the lowest strikeout teams in baseball (22% K rate) and top 10 in wRC+ against right-handed pitching.
Miller is likely to fall short of the 16.5 outs projection today when considering all factors.
Goblin Pick: Guardians 3B Jose Ramirez 0.5 Total Bases — MORE
Time: 6:40 p.m. ET
José Ramírez is in quite a favorable matchup against Twins rookie pitcher Zebby Matthews. This season, Matthews has allowed a 20% barrel rate, a 71% hard-hit percentage, and a 31% flyball rate over his last 50 appearances to left handed hitters.
While the sample size is limited due to Matthews’ recent call-up, these metrics are alarming.
Against a right-handed pitchers fastball, Ramírez owns a terrific 56% hard-hit percentage, 9% barrel rate, and a 35% flyball rate over 125 plate appearances. Matthews throws his fastball 50% of the time to hitters, making this a prime opportunity for Ramírez to capitalize against the rookie.
Note: Goblin picks reduce your payout on PrizePicks, as they are easier projections to hit.
Demon Picks: Brewers 1B Jake Bauers 2.5 Total Bases — MORE
Time: 7:40 p.m. ET
Despite being one of the best pitchers in the National League, Philadelphia Phillies ace Zack Wheeler has struggled tremendously against left-handed hitters this season. In his last 55 plate appearances against lefties, Wheeler has allowed a 25% barrel rate, 71% hard-hit percentage, and a 43% flyball rate.
Much of this stems from his frequent use of the fastball (40% of the time) against lefties. Milwaukee Brewers' left-handed hitter Jake Bowers has excelled against the right handed pitcher fastball, posting a 17% barrel rate, a 74% hard-hit percentage, and a 41% flyball rate in 80+ plate appearances this season.
Bowers has also demonstrated success against Wheeler's second go-to pitch to lefties, with a 55% flyball rate and 46% hard-hit percentage in 21 plate appearances.
Note: Demon picks add a payout boost to your lineup on PrizePicks, as they are more difficult projections to hit.
