Tigers P Tarik Skubal 6.0 Strikeouts — MORE

Time: 2:35 p.m. ET

Editor’s Note: Skubal strikeouts are discounted down to 4.5 strikeouts until 1:30 p.m. ET on PrizePicks. Keep an eye on Twitter for more tacos on Tuesday.

Tigers pitcher Tarik Skubal has consistently hit his projection of six strikeouts this season, achieving this mark in 28 out of 31 starts, which gives him an impressive 90% success rate.

Notably, Skubal has faced the Houston Astros three times in his career and has surpassed the six-strikeout projection in two of those matchups.

On the road, Skubal is just as dominant. In his last 20 road starts, he has hit the six-strikeout mark in 18 of them, maintaining another 90% success rate.

With such consistent strikeout performances, Skubal is well-positioned to meet or exceed his projection again, even against a solid Houston lineup.

Royals C Salvador Perez 1.5 Total Bases — MORE (Demon)

Time: 4:05 p.m. ET

On paper, Royals catcher Salvador Perez faces a challenging matchup today against Corbin Burnes, who heavily relies on his cutter (43% of the time) and slider (30%). However, Perez has performed very well against right-handed cutters this season.

In 120 plate appearances, Perez boasts a 32% flyball rate, an 8% barrel rate, and a 41% hard-hit percentage against the cutter. Against the slider, Perez has shown similar success in 75 plate appearances, with a 36% flyball rate, a 10% barrel rate, and a 43% hard-hit percentage.

With his ability to generate strong contact and lift the ball against Burnes’ primary pitches, Perez is in a prime position to provide a spark for his young team, making him a solid candidate to hit a home run today.

Mets SS Francisco Lindor 0.5 Hits  — MORE (Goblin)

Time: 5:35 p.m. ET

Brewers pitcher Freddy Peralta has struggled against right-handed hitters in his last 50 plate appearances, allowing a 10% barrel rate, a 77% hard-hit percentage, and a concerning 46% flyball rate.

A major factor in his struggles is his reliance on the four-seam fastball, which he throws 51% of the time. Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor — who hit the game-winning home run yesterday to send the Mets to the playoffs — matches up well against Peralta’s fastball.

Lindor owns a 41% flyball rate, a 71% hard-hit percentage, and a 15% barrel rate against right-handed four-seamers in over 155 plate appearances this season.

Peralta’s second most-thrown pitch is his slider, used 20% of the time. Lindor also thrives against this pitch, boasting a 36% flyball rate, a 63% hard-hit percentage, and a 10% barrel rate in 80+ plate appearances against right-handed sliders.

Note: Goblin picks reduce your payout on PrizePicks, as they are easier projections to hit

Mets 1B Pete Alonso 1.5 Total Bases — MORE (Demon)

Time: 5:35 p.m. ET

Pete Alonso is another Mets player primed for success against Peralta. Alonso handles the four-seam fastball well, posting a 42% flyball rate, a 53% hard-hit percentage, and a 70% barrel rate in over 130 plate appearances against right-handed fastballs this season.

Against Peralta’s third-most-thrown pitch, the curveball (thrown 16% of the time), Alonso has impressive numbers, with a 67% hard-hit percentage, a 9% barrel rate, and a .500 BABIP in 25 plate appearances.

Both Lindor and Alonso could have big days at the plate given their favorable matchups.

Note: Demon picks add a payout boost to your lineup on PrizePicks, as they are more difficult projections to hit.
