The NFL Trade Deadline is on Tuesday, November 5, at 4 p.m. ET, and there is plenty that still could go down, though it’s already been a busy trade season.

Below, we’ll go through some of the top potential buyers and sellers for the NFL Trade Deadline, including some trade rumors from around the league.

The Chiefs have made their big moves, adding pass-rusher Josh Uche and WR DeAndre Hopkins to bolster their push for a third-straight Super Bowl. The Panthers traded WR Diontae Johnson to the Ravens and might not be done selling. The Bills bolstered their WR corps by adding Amari Cooper, who is now injured.

And, of course, the Raiders traded WR Davante Adams to the Jets in the blockbuster trade of 2024.

NFL Trade Deadline Live Updates & Trades

Follow along with the 2024 NFL Trade Deadline live updates here before the deadline at 4 p.m. ET. Below are all of the trades that have happened today.

The Commanders traded for Saints CB Marshon Lattimore in exchange for a third-round, fourth-round, and sixth-round pick in the biggest trade of the day.

The Lions traded for Browns DE Za'Darius Smith to bolster their pass rush. The Browns received 2025 fifth- and sixth-round picks and sent a 2025 seventh-rounder.

The Cowboys traded for Panthers WR Jonathan Mingo in exchange for a 2025 fourth-round pick. Mingo will likely share snaps as the Cowboys WR2 with Jalen Tolbert, and may be needed immediately if WR CeeDee Lamb misses some time with his should injury.

The Steelers traded for Jets WR Mike Williams in exchange for a 2025 fifth-round pick. Williams will slot in as the Steelers' WR2 ahead of Van Jefferson.

The Bengals traded for Bears RB Khalil Herbert in exchange for a 2025 seventh-round pick. Herbert will become the Bengals RB2 behind Chase Brown, but has potential to win the starting job before year's end.

NFL Trade Deadline 2024 Trade Rumors

Let’s rip through some of the current NFL Trade Deadline rumors before we get into potential buyers and sellers.

Trade talks are heating up for Saints CB Marshon Lattimore, with multiple teams involved. Long-time Saints reporter Nick Underhill "suspects" the Saints would be willing to let him go for a third-round pick.

The Lions traded for Browns DE Za'Darius Smith in exchange for a 2025 fifth-round picks and 2026 sixth-round pick.

The 49ers could look to fill the gap left by WR Brandon Aiyuk at WR, though they may stand pat with first-round WR Ricky Pearsall looking promising.

The Panthers are getting many calls about QB Bryce Young, but the team sounds unlikely to trade him as of now.

The Rams are looking to trade CB Tre’Davious White, who is on a one-year deal.

The Steelers are reportedly looking to bring in another WR before the deadline. Their potential trade for Jaguars WR Christian Kirk fell apart after he broke his collarbones last week.

NFL Trade Deadline: Buyers

Here are a few teams that could be looking to add players at the NFL Trade Deadline to make a move into the Playoffs.

Washington Commanders (7-2)

The Commanders have been one of the biggest surprises of this year, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if they stand pat and don’t go for it quite yet, as they have big years ahead of them with QB Jayden Daniels under center. With two less than impressive wins, this record is a facade, but it has set them up to potentially make some noise immediately.

That said, they have a few gaps that, if filled, could make them legit contenders in the NFC, especially on the defensive side of the ball. It doesn’t hurt that Adam Schefter reported that players across the league would like to be traded to the Commanders.

San Francisco 49ers (4-4)

It’s common knowledge that the 4-4 49ers are the sleeping giants of the league. They’ll return from the bye week with RB Christian McCaffrey expected to return; WR Deebo Samuel and TE George Kittle back to full-strength; and WR Jauan Jennings expected to return. Soon they’ll also get back LB Dre Greenlaw from the IR.

That said, they still lost WR1 Brandon Aiyuk for the season, DT Javon Hargrave is likely out for the year, and DE Yetur Gross-Matos is likely done as well. There’s no doubt that this roster runs deep — that’s the advantage of having a seventh-round rookie QB. But still the 49ers could use some one-year rentals at WR and on the DL.

Detroit Lions (7-1)

The Detroit Lions cruised against the Packers this week in Lambeau Field, and they have the inside track on home field advantage throughout the NFC Playoffs. That said, they are going to run into matchups where they’re missing the pressure of DE Aidan Hutchinson, who is out for the year, as well as DE Marcus Davenport.

While the Lions offense is as explosive as they come, they may need to add some pass rush if they want to make it to the Super Bowl. Plenty of teams should be looking to move to defensive ends with one year left on their contract, and Lions should be quick to scoop one up.

Pittsburgh Steelers (6-2)

The Steelers are reportedly looking for a WR at the trade deadline, despite WR Calvin Austin’s emergence last week. Jaguars WR Christian Kirk was rumored, but he went on IR on Saturday. The offensive line has also lost three starters for the season, though it’s somehow held up well despite that.

They could also look for some run-stopping help, as the Steelers are 29th in rushing defense expected points since Week 7, in part due to nose tackle Montravius Adams being placed on IR and outside linebackers Nick Herbig out and DeMarvin Leal out for the season.

NFL Trade Deadline: Sellers

Cleveland Browns (2-7)

The Browns are deep in the hole after signing QB Deshaun Watson to a $230 million contract last year. Watson’s now on IR and has shown little to no hope to lead this team.

They already moved WR Amari Cooper for a 2025 third-round pick, but should continue to add as much draft capital as possible to acquire young talent for cheap through the draft to begin their rebuild.

Trade Candidates: DE Za’Darius Smith, CB Greg Newsome II, WR Jerry Jeudy, RB Nick Chubb

Dallas Cowboys (3-5)

We know the Cowboys are resistant to making trades, or really making acquisitions at all, as seen this offseason. So this is probably unrealistic and a waste of breath.

However, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones had an easy decision fall into his lap with the injuries to QB Dak Prescott — that will keep him out for a few weeks — and star WR CeeDee Lamb on Sunday, two days before the deadline. It’s never been more clear that it’s time for the Cowboys to do what they can to put themselves in a better position for this offseason and next year.

That includes offloading cap hits and picking up some extra draft capital.

Trade Candidates: CB Trevon Diggs, DT Linval Joseph, LB Eric Kendricks, DT Osa Odighizuwa, S Donovan Wilson

New Orleans Saints (2-7)

Saints fired head coach Dennis Allen after losing their seventh-straight game to the lowly Panthers and have looked stagnant after an incredible start to the year. To make things worse, WR1 Chris Olave suffered another serious concussion, and looks to be out for an extended period of time.

It’s time to start looking to the future, whether that’s with QB Derek Carr, fifth-round QB Spencer Rattler, or a future draft pick. After the Allen firing, the door seems open for the Saints to make additional changes to their roster and become sellers.

Trade Candidates: CB Marshon Lattimore, DE Chris Young, RB Jamaal Williams

Jacksonville Jaguars (2-7)

The Jaguars find themselves in a similar situation to the Browns — an underperforming QB who they are paying over $200 million is going to make their roster construction difficult for years to come.

The Jaguars have already moved DT Roy Robertson-Harris to Seattle, and OT Cam Robinson to Minnesota. However, the only way to bring in talent for cheap is through the draft, so they should look to pick up some more picks by trading pieces and looking ahead to the future.

Trade Candidates: RB Travis Etienne, WR Christian Kirk (recently placed on IR), TE Evan Engram, DE Arik Armstead, LB Devin Lloyd

Las Vegas Raiders (2-7)

The Raiders fired OC Luke Getsy and are dust at QB, as QB Gardner Minshew has been benched mid-game twice this year. Whether they stick with head coach Antonio Pierce after 2024 or not, it’s time to look to the future.

While the Raiders are a team that usually stands pat at trade deadlines, they have already moved WR Davante Adams, and the OC move seems to open the door to some possibilities for them to pick up some extra picks.

Trade Candidates: WR Jakobi Meyers, LB Robert Spillane, DL Adam Butler
