Top Wild Card Games to Target for NFL DFS
Chargers vs. Texans — Saturday, 4:30 p.m. ET
An intriguing quarterback duel features Chargers QB Justin Herbert and Texans QB C.J. Stroud. Herbert’s last two encounters with the Texans came in 2022, when he nearly eclipsed 400 passing yards against their defense.
Meanwhile, Stroud has yet to face the Chargers, who boast a top-10 ranking in passing yards allowed to quarterbacks and a top-20 mark in rushing yards allowed to running backs — creating a challenging scenario for the Texans’ second-year QB who is missing two of his top three receivers.
Houston’s defense has also been formidable for most of the season, ranking top 10 in passing yards allowed to quarterbacks and top 10 in rushing yards allowed to running backs. However, injuries have hampered the Texans’ late-season performance, leading to an overall slump as they head into the playoffs. However, this defense is getting healthy at the right time, with their entire starting front seven on the field for the first time this season.
Despite these setbacks, the duel between two rising stars under center could still produce fireworks.
PrizePicks Picks: Texans QB CJ Stroud less than 231.5 Pass Yards / Chargers WR more than Quentin Johnston 47.5 Yards
Packers vs. Eagles — Sunday, 4:30 p.m. ET
The Packers-Eagles matchup features two high-powered offenses and serves as a rematch from earlier in the season, when Philadelphia prevailed behind nearly 300 passing yards from Jalen Hurts, who has been cleared to return from a concussion. Now, he’ll face a Packers defense that is missing top CB Jaire Alexander.
Green Bay’s defense currently sits outside the NFL’s top 20 in passing yards allowed and outside the top 10 in rushing yards allowed to opposing running backs. However, the Packers have evolved significantly since their first four games, showing improvements on both offense and defense.
On the other side, Packers QB Jordan Love faces an Eagles unit that has been one of the best in the NFL, ranking top five in passing yards allowed to quarterbacks and top 10 in rushing yards allowed to running backs. Love will also be missing WR Christian Watson, who is critical to helping this team stretch the field. Despite the daunting challenge, the Packers enter this rematch with late-season momentum, promising an exciting contest reminiscent of their earlier meeting in Brazil.
PrizePicks Picks: Eagles QB Jalen Hurts more than 215.5 Pass Yards / Packers RB Josh Jacobs more than 70.5 Rush Yards / Packers QB Jordan Love
Best OL/DL Matchups to Target: Wild Card Weekend
Eagles OL vs. Packers DL
The Philadelphia Eagles boast the best offensive line in the NFL playoffs. LT Jordan Mailata ranks first out of 81 tackles this season in blocking grade, and RT Lane Johnson sits seventh out of 81, per PFF. LG Landon Dickerson holds the ninth spot among 77 guards, while free-agent pickup Mekhi Becton stands at 16th out of 77.
Together, they’ve provided stellar protection for QB Jalen Hurts, with both tackles allowing just one combined sack this season.
The Packers defensive line has been erratic this year. DT T.J. Slaton ranks 114th out of 132 interior linemen via PFF, and veteran Kenny Clark sits 57th out of 132. The edge rushers haven’t fared much better: Kingsley Enagbare is 90th out of 121, while Rashan Gary — considered their premier pass rusher — has only eight sacks on the season, putting him outside the top 25 at the position.
PrizePicks Picks: Eagles RB Saquon Barkley more than 118.5 Rush+Rec Yards

Ravens DL vs. Steelers OL
The Pittsburgh Steelers are grappling with injuries upfront. RG James Daniels is on injured reserve, as is RT Troy Fautanu. Meanwhile, backup RT Broderick Jones — who is starting in Fautanu’s place — ranks 68th out of 81 tackles in the NFL and has allowed 10 sacks this season, making him one of the league’s most vulnerable tackles.
The Baltimore Ravens counter with an imposing defensive front. Pass rusher Odafe Oweh ranks 35th out of 121 defensive ends, while veteran Kyle Van Noy sits 25th, per PFF. DT Nnamdi Madubuike has emerged as one of the best at his position, ranking top five in QB hurries and total pressures, and top 10 in QB hits.
This unit should pose a significant challenge to the battered Steelers offensive line.
PrizePicks Picks: Steelers RB Najee Harris less than 40.5 Rush Yards
Best WR/CB Matchups to Target: Wild Card Weekend
Steelers WR George Pickens vs. Ravens CB Brandon Stevens
George Pickens has been, by far, Steelers QB Russell Wilson’s favorite WR target this season, and he’s become the key to the offense. Despite battling injuries, Pickens’ numbers remain impressive: he ranks in the top 35 for targets, receptions, and receiving yards and is just 100 yards shy of a 1,000-yard campaign.
He’s slated to face Ravens CB Brandon Stevens, who ranks 107th out of 119 cornerbacks in coverage this season, per PFF. Stevens has surrendered the fifth-most receptions (65) at the position, allows a passer rating over 105, and is considered a bottom-tier corner in the NFL.
The Ravens pass defense has been much improved since moving star safety Kyle Hamilton to the single-high safety spot and moving CB Marlon Humphrey to the slot. However, Pickens plays only 22.7% of his snaps in the slot, so he should avoid Humphrey for the most part.
Broncos WR Courtland Sutton vs. Bills CB Rasul Douglas
With the addition of Bo Nix at quarterback, WR Courtland Sutton is enjoying one of his best seasons as a pro. He ranks top 15 in every major wide receiver category — targets, receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns — having already eclipsed 1,000 receiving yards.
Slated to match up with Bills CB Rasul Douglas, Sutton faces a defender who currently ranks 81st out of 119 cornerbacks in coverage, allowing a passer rating over 120 and more than 12 yards per reception. It’s one of the best WR/CB matchups in this Wild Card Weekend slate of games.
Best TD Scorer Predictions for Wild Card Weekend
Eagles WR DeVonta Smith vs. Packers (Demon)
DeVonta Smith may have the best wide receiver matchup this weekend. Despite missing games due to injury, he’s still had a spectacular season, ranking in the top 30 for receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns.
When targeted, Smith owns a passer rating of about 125 with Hurts. He’ll draw a lot of coverage against rookie second-round pick Javon Bullard, who is graded 86th out of 97 safeties in coverage, per PFF, permitting a passer rating over 120 and more than 10 yards per reception. Bullard also ranks sixth in receptions allowed (46).
Bucs WR Mike Evans vs. Commanders
Mike Evans is having another historic season, surpassing 1,000 yards yet again, as he has every season in his career, tying Jerry Rice’s consecutive 1,000-yard receiving season record with 11.
He ranks top 25 in targets, receptions, and receiving yards, while his 11 receiving touchdowns place him in the top five league-wide. Evans maintains a passer rating of over 112 when targeted, making him Baker Mayfield’s favorite weapon.
Opposite him is rookie second-rounder Mike Sainristil, who has allowed 54 receptions this year and gives up a near-100 passer rating with over 10 yards per reception. At just 5-foot-10, Sainristil faces a major height disadvantage against the 6-foot-5 Evans.
