Rush+Rec TD PrizePicks Meaning: NFL & CFB Scoring Explained
There’s no better excitement than a player in your fantasy football or DFS lineup scoring a touchdown. That’s why on PrizePicks, you can pick touchdown scorers every week with the Rush+Rec TD stat category to win real money.
PrizePicks is the easiest way to get real money action on NFL. You don’t need to worry about salary cap constraints here. Just pick two to six players in your lineup by choosing More or Less on their stat projections — like yards, touchdowns, and more.
Below we’ll explain the meaning of Rush+Rec TD stat category on PrizePicks for NFL and CFB. We will also break down the different variations of Rush+Rec TDs from Demons and Goblins to TD Combo Picks.
What is a Rush TD?
A rush TD (or rushing touchdown) is a play where the runner carries the ball into the end zone without a forward pass being involved. Running backs are the primary recipients of rushing touchdowns, but other times quarterbacks — and on the rare occasion — wide receivers also can get a rushing touchdown
What is A Rec TD?
A rec TD (or receiving TD) is scored when an offensive player catches the ball in the field and runs it into the end zone, or catches it while already being inside the boundaries of the end zone. Wide receivers are the primary recipients of touchdowns, followed by tight ends and running backs.
Rush+Rec TD Meaning on PrizePicks
When a player is on the board for a Rush+Rec TD, it means they must either get a rushing or receiving touchdown to go More on their projection and cash it. If a player scores in one of these two ways, the More on their projection will cash. Essentially, with Rush+Rec TD squares, you are choosing players you think will score a touchdown — although it must be rushing or receiving.
For most players, you can only choose More on their Rush+Rec TD projections.
However, as you can see in the example below with James Cook and Christian McCaffrey, you have the option to choose More or Less on their touchdown picks. Certain players will be on the board where you can take either More or Less on 0.5 Rush+Rec TD
Most players will be Demons or sometimes Goblins, which will boost or lower your Lineup’s payout, depending on which you select.
Demons and Goblins Rush+Rec TD on PrizePicks
On PrizePicks, most of the Rush+Rec TD squares are Demons, since most players are not scoring touchdowns regularly. As you see on the board below, every player in the Browns vs. Broncos Monday Night Football game has a touchdown demon, as it’s expected to be a defensive-focused game
Putting Demons in your lineups means you get a higher payout since Demon projections are harder to win.
On the other hand, there are also Goblin Rush+Rec TD picks on the board. Goblins usually consist of running backs that are more likely to score. Putting Goblins in your lineup gives you a reduced payout since they are easier to win.
For example, in 2024 Week 13, Derrick Henry, Kyren Williams, and Joe Mixon were all Goblin Rush+Rec TDs. All three of these players currently have more touchdowns than games played this year, so they frequently find the end zone and cash More 0.5 Rush+Rec TD.
Combo Square Rush+Rec TD on PrizePicks
Occasionally, the board will have combo squares of Rush+Rec TD. A combo square on PrizePicks involves two players. In the example below, you see Chris Godwin + Lamar Jackson for More 0.5 Rush+Rec TD.
This means for you to cash this square, only one of Lamar Jackson or Chris Godwin has to score a Rush+Rec TD. Each player does not need to get a Rush+Rec TD for you win — it only takes one combined touchdown.
