1. Jalen Hurts — Philadelphia Eagles

Jalen Hurts 2024 fantasy football projections on PrizePicks

Jalen Hurts makes the top of the fantasy football QB rankings, as he benefits the most from weapons around him. An exceptional offensive line is still the center of this Eagles offense, although center Jason Kelce retired which could lead to some tush push regression.

Followed by a dynamic duo that headlines the wide receiver corps in A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, along with the new addition of Saquon Barkley, the Eagles offense looks to be at its very best.

While Barkley might take some goal line touches from Hurts, the Eagles have shown they do not care about giving their running backs touches from the goal line. On top of the explosive passing game, Hurts’ tush push touches make him the headliner of quarterbacks in the 2024 fantasy football season. PrizePicks’ board has his season-long projection set at 32.5 passing + rushing touchdowns.

2. Lamar Jackson — Baltimore Ravens

Lamar Jackson 2024 fantasy football projections on PrizePicks

Lamar Jackson comes in at second on my list, as the addition of Derrick Henry is why I am a little concerned about putting him at No.1. Jackson is dynamic and elusive and his connection with Zay Flowers is one of the best quarterback-receiver duos in the league.

Jackson led the league in rushing yards amongst all quarterbacks in 2023. With Henry in the fold, Jackson has an opportunity to capitalize more on his dual-threat abilities against defenses that overcommit to stopping Henry. The offensive upside for the Ravens takes a step up in 2024, as a lot of the pressure comes off of Lamar and he is able to play more freely without being the sole focus all the time.

Lamar’s projection for season-long passing + rushing touchdowns is at 28 on PrizePicks, so that could be a projection to target.

3. Josh Allen — Buffalo Bills

Honestly, I could see the argument for him to be placed anywhere between here and sixth. The No.1 fantasy quarterback last year lost four of his five wide receivers — with Khalil Shakir being the only one standing. The subtractions of Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis are too much to overcome to get back to the top spot in 2024.

The Bills will find some consistency throughout the year in some capacity, but I find it hard to believe that Allen will be as good as he was last year for fantasy football. Still look to take Allen if the value is there, as he will surely still be a consistent option like he is every year.

4. CJ Stroud — Houston Texans

CJ Stroud is the most exciting option for people to make a splash this upcoming season. The 2023 NFL Rookie of the Year has shown great strides in development and the Texans made a huge commitment to the passing game in the offseason.

The sophomore quarterback is being set up with arguably the best WR corps a quarterback could have. Tank Dell and Nico Collins coming off massive seasons, and star WR Stefon Diggs, brought in via a trade with the Bills.

There are some concerns with Diggs being a locker room nuisance and the potential sophomore slump with Stroud. Stroud’s connection with his receivers and the weapons around him will help Stroud prove that’s not the case.

PrizePicks has CJ Stroud’s passing yards projection at 4,199.5 yards, so be on the lookout for a big passing season from Stroud.

5. Patrick Mahomes — Kansas City Chiefs

Patrick Mahomes. Three-time Super Bowl MVP. Two-time NFL MVP. What more can you say about the guy.

Last regular season was rough to say the least for the Chiefs with an 11-6 record; it was their least successful record under Mahomes. Yet he still managed to place eighth amongst quarterbacks in fantasy football scoring.

The storyline for the offense last season? Dropped passes and missed opportunities. Really the only consistent focal point of that offense was Mahomes passing to Travis Kelce — though then-rookie Rashee Rice did emerge at the end of the year. And who knows how Kelce might go with the star tight end now caught up in his public relationship with Taylor Swift and in his age-35 season.

That said, Mahomes will find a way to find a way to be a top fantasy QB again, just like he has with years of mediocre wide receivers since Tyreek Hill left for Miami.

6. Joe Burrow — Cincinnati Bengals

Joe Burrow — who has now deemed himself slim shady of the NFL — looks to bounce back after an injury riddled season in 2023. Teamed up with Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, Burrow should have a phenomenal season as long as the core can maintain their health throughout.

Now that Joe Mixon is in Houston, the lack of star power in the running game leaves a lot of potential for Burrow to put up big numbers in the passing game. Look for Burrow to make a strong case this season for that top spot amongst quarterbacks.

There are concerns with Higgins’ contract situation, but if the sides can get a deal done, it only makes it more likely that Burrow can move his way up the rankings. The contract talks should be important throughout the year, as it may impact Burrow’s potential.

7. Dak Prescott — Dallas Cowboys

Dak Prescott is in a contract year, meaning he has to ball out to prove his worth. If he does, Prescott could become the highest paid quarterback in NFL history following the massive QB contract extensions we saw this offseason — that's if Jerry Jones is willing to pay him on top of WR Ceedee Lamb.

The Cowboys plan to use a RB-by-committee this season, which leaves a lot of room for Prescott to carry his team. Working with a WR1 like Lamb has shown to be promising for Prescott, who was already the No. 3 quarterback in fantasy football last season.

It’s worth noting that Lamb is still in contract negotiations with the Cowboys, and has been holding out of training camp. It’s possible that he’ll stay sidelined for the start of the season unless the Cowboys get a deal done.

Prescott is projected for 30 TD and 10 INTs on PrizePicks season-long NFL board.

8. Anthony Richardson — Indianapolis Colts

Anthony Richardson is an interesting case when it comes to fantasy football quarterback rankings. Nobody knows exactly what he will bring to the table this year after his season-ending shoulder surgery early last year, though he isn’t expected to slow up running the ball at all.

Richardson says he believes he is throwing the football better than he was before his shoulder surgery. However, a season-ending surgery can prove worrisome for fantasy football production.

The hope for the Colts is Johnathan Taylor can produce behind a consistent offensive line which will allow Richardson to capitalize on his dual-threat abilities, similar to Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry.

Richardson’s pass yards projection for the NFL season is at 3,199.5, and he’s projected for another 549.5 yards on the ground.

9. Jordan Love — Green Bay Packers

Aaron Rodgers’ successor is looking to capitalize off his electric playoff run and prove why his contract extension was a good move for the Packers. The addition of 2022 rushing champion Josh Jacobs should allow the young quarterback to maintain time in the pocket as defenses should have to respect the running game of the Packers.

What I believe worries most fantasy football players about Love’s performance this season is the lack of experience across the receiving corps. But if the playoffs showed us anything about this Green Bay offense, they don't shy away from anyone.

Love has huge expectations this year, as he’s projected for 3,900.5 passing yards on PrizePicks NFL season-long game.

10. Kyler Murray — Arizona Cardinals

Kyler Murray is an exciting pick to round out my fantasy football quarterback rankings. Murray is coming off a season in which he only appeared in eight games after his ACL tear in the 2022 season; this will be his second year in Drew Petzing’s offense.

Murray looked very promising in the last weeks of the 2023 season. The Cardinals drafting Marvin Harrison Jr. in the first round gives Murray a deep threat as he managed 1,200+ yards and 14 receiving touchdowns in each of the past two seasons at Ohio State.

The dual-threat ability of Murray will only improve as he has had over a year to recover completely from the injury. From a fantasy perspective, as long as he stays healthy, the outlook Murray provides remains very positive.

Murray’s projection for pass + rush yards for the season is at 3,899.5 yards on PrizePicks, so that could be something to look for.
