Hawks vs. Knicks: Preview & How to Watch
Time: 7 p.m. ET
How to Watch: ESPN
This matchup pits two of the winners from the NBA Cup Group Stage against each other.
The Knicks blew out the Magic in their winner-take-all showdown in Group A to clinch their top spot. In Group C, the Hawks made it out as unlikely winners in a group that contained both the Boston Celtics and the Cleveland Cavaliers, the East’s two top teams. Despite losing to the Bulls, the head-to-head over Boston put Atlanta on top.
These two teams already faced off in Atlanta with the Hawks coming out on top. It was the best game of Zaccharie Risacher’s young career so far with 33 points, plus 7 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 2 steals.
During this early season meeting, New York was still trying to figure out their team chemistry, so expect that to look much better now.
It’s a battle of contrasting defensive teams in New York. The Hawks allow the third-most points per game while the Knicks are a top-10 defensive team. If Atlanta is expected to keep this close, it will need to step up their game defensively or shoot lights out like they did in their first meeting.

Rockets vs. Warriors: Preview & How to Watch
Time: 9:30 p.m. ET
How to Watch: TNT
The second quarterfinal in the Western Conference holds the two teams who topped their groups during the Group Stage phase: the Rockets and Warriors.
These two teams have already met twice this year, with the Warriors leading the head-to-head 2-0. In both games, Stephen Curry was ruled out, and Golden state were able to squeak out wins. He is healthy for this game, which will give the Warriors even more firepower.
Their two meetings were two completely different results. The most recent meeting was an offensive struggle where both teams shot under 41 percent. The first meeting was an overtime thriller with both teams dropping over 120 points.
This game could be a defensive showdown with both teams inside the top six in points allowed, so expect it to be similar to their most recent matchup. However, both teams are also in the top-half of the league in scoring, so it does have potential to be similar to their first meeting.

NBA DFS Picks Today for PrizePicks
Below, you’ll find the top PrizePicks picks today for NBA DFS on Wednesday, December 11.
Knicks G Jalen Brunson vs Hawks 34.5 Pts+Asts — More
Despite only getting 25 points and assists in their last meeting, Jalen Brunson has a great opportunity once again against the Hawks. He only had four assists in that first meeting, but had over 13 potential assist opportunities in that game.
Atlanta allows the sixth-most points per game to opposing point guards, and Brunson will want to show out in a big-time game against Trae Young, who has become the villain in New York.
Of all the starters on the Hawks, Young is still the biggest defensive liability, and Brunson will be the primary offensive player matching up against him. The Knicks captain will look to exploit this matchup by attacking Young or setting up his teammates.
Jalen Brunson Projections Today

Hawks F Jalen Johnson vs. Knicks: 28.5 Pts+Rebs — More
The Knicks allow the fourth-most points and third-most rebounds to opposing small forwards. Jalen Johnson is second on the team in potential rebound opportunities, both on the road and over the last 10 games. Johnson’s shooting and rebound splits are slightly better on the road as well.
Even with the insertion of De’Andre Hunter in the starting lineup, Johnson is still hitting this projection often. In their last meeting, Johnson stormed past this projection with 38 points and rebounds, and Johnson should once again enjoy this matchup.

Stephen Curry + Jalen Green 44 Points (Combo) — More
Stephen Curry missed both of the meetings against the Rockets this season, but has enjoyed success against them throughout his career. In six of his last seven games against the Rockets, he has scored 30+ points and missed this mark just once. The Rockets give up the third-most points to opposing point guards so Curry might want to get going early.
Despite struggling against the Warriors in his career, Jalen Green being a part of the combo square will give us a second player to help hit this projection. Green is on PrizePicks at 19.5 points.
Even getting close to this number will help if Curry doesn’t get near that 30-point threshold that he tends to get to against the Rockets.
Rockets C Alperen Sengun: 10.5 Rebounds — More
Sengun has not hit this projection in both of these team’s meetings, but opposing centers have cleaned up on the glass against the Warriors, who give up the second-most rebounds to centers. Sengun and teammate Amen Thompson hold the slight advantage on their teammates in terms of potential rebounds against the Warriors.
Despite both him and Thompson having eight rebounds in their last game, Sengun had a wide margin in terms of potential rebounds. In a game that is expected to be close, the Turkish center should see enough minutes to hit this projection.
Note: Sengun is questionable to play in this game with left knee soreness. Backup center Steven Adams is also questionable with a knee issue. If either sits, the other would likely see a minutes increase.
