NBA DFS Picks & Predictions Today: Friday, December 13
After a mostly limited schedule this week because of the NBA Cup, the NBA brings a busy eight-game slate Friday. Among the marquee matchups will be the Timberwolves hosting the Lakers.
A busy slate provides us with an opportunity to make some NBA DFS picks to build your Lineups on PrizePicks. Let’s dig into all of the games and highlight some of the top projections to target on PrizePicks.
Friday NBA Games to Target for NBA DFS
Here are two games to target for NBA DFS fantasy production today, Friday, December 13.
Hornets vs. Bulls
Time: 8:00 p.m. ET
How to Watch: NBA League Pass
The Bulls have played at the fastest pace (104.76) and have the fourth-worst defensive rating (117.4) in the league. That should help to speed up the Hornets, who have played at the third-slowest pace (97.28). Helping the Bulls should be that the Hornets have the 10th-worst defensive rating (114.7).
Both of these teams are dealing with injuries. Bulls C Nikola Vucevic (illness), Bulls G Josh Giddey (back), and Bulls F Patrick Williams (foot) are all listed as questionable. Hornets G LaMelo Ball (calf) and Hornets G Tre Mann (back) remain out, while Hornets F Miles Bridges (knee) and Hornets F Tidjane Salaun (ankle) are listed as questionable.
PrizePicks Projection to Consider: Bulls C Nikola Vucevic 19.5 Points - More
Pacers vs. 76ers
Time: 7:00 p.m. ET
How to Watch: NBA TV
The Pacers are a good team to attack in DFS. They have played at the sixth-fastest pace (101.14) and have the seventh-worst defensive rating (116.0) in the league. That should help speed up the 76ers, who have played at the second-slowest pace (97.19).
The 76ers are the healthiest that they have been in a while. The only player of note on the injury report is 76ers F Caleb Martin (shoulder), who has already been ruled out. The Pacers are also mostly healthy with F Aaron Nesmith (ankle) being their only notable absence.
PrizePicks Projection to Consider: 76ers G Tyrese Maxey 22.5 Points - More
NBA DFS Picks Today for PrizePicks
Here are four NBA DFS picks to help you build your PrizePicks NBA Lineups for today, Friday, December 13.
Clippers G/F Amir Coffey 9.5 Points – More
Depth will be an issue in this game for the Clippers. They have already ruled out G Terance Mann (finger) and F Derrick Jones Jr. (hamstring). Mann has averaged 21 minutes per game, while Jones has logged 25 minutes per game. Clippers G/F Amir Coffey should see a boost in playing time because of their absences. He has scored at least 12 points in each of his last four games and is averaging 10.5 points per game for the season. The last time he played the Nuggets, he scored 13 points in just 18 minutes. He could approach 30 minutes Friday.
Timberwolves G Mike Conley Jr. 4.5 Assists – Less
Timberwolves G Mike Conley Jr. is only averaging 26 minutes per game, which is down from 29 minutes per game last season. With him being 37 years old and the Timberwolves having improved depth behind him at guard, they are trying to keep him healthy for what they hope will be a long playoff run. Since he has seen his minutes decline, Conley has recorded fewer than five assists in six of his last seven games. He has played 19 games this season and he reached at least five assists in just seven of them.
Wizards G Carlton Carrington 10.5 Points – More
Injuries have become a problem for the Wizards, who already entered the season with a lack of quality depth. Things won’t get any better Friday with F Kyle Kuzma (ribs), G Malcolm Brogdon (hamstring), G/F Corey Kispert (ankle) and F Kyshawn George (ankle) all out. That should lead to plenty of minutes for Wizards G Carlton Carrington, who will take on the Cavaliers for the second time in 10 days. In the last game against them, he scored 13 points over 36 minutes.
Spurs F Julian Champagnie 5.0 Rebounds – More
The Spurs are another team that will have a limited depth chart Friday. F Keldon Johnson (calf), G Stephon Castle (shoulder), and C Zach Collins (back) have all been ruled out. Spurs F Julian Champagnie is averaging 5.1 rebounds per game for the season and could see a boost in playing time. That leaves him with the potential for added rebounds against a Trail Blazers team that has allowed the fifth-most rebounds per game (45.5) in the league.
